Package: rfkill Version: 2.32.1-0.2 Severity: serious User: debian...@lists.debian.org Usertags: piuparts
Hi, during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to upgrade from 'stable'. It installed fine in 'stable', then the upgrade to 'sid' fails because it tries to overwrite other packages files without declaring a Breaks+Replaces relation. See policy 7.6 at https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#overwriting-files-and-replacing-packages-replaces This test intentionally skipped 'testing' to find file overwrite problems before packages migrate from 'unstable' to 'testing'. >From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...): Preparing to unpack .../rfkill_2.32.1-0.2_amd64.deb ... Unpacking rfkill (2.32.1-0.2) ... dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/rfkill_2.32.1-0.2_amd64.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite '/usr/share/bash-completion/completions/rfkill', which is also in package bash-completion 1:2.1-4.3 Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/rfkill_2.32.1-0.2_amd64.deb cheers, Andreas
