I have checked my initrd and it seems to have that rule under
lib/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules

Besides that there is apparatently renaming from eth0->lan0 happening as
per kernel log mentioned earlier:

[3.563937] e1000e :00:1f.6 lan0: renamed from eth0

Anyway, I will try to regenerate and reboot later just to be sure.

Seems I can reproduce the issue, so there is no need on your side to
further debug debug this.
