Oh, I wasn't aware of that. I subscribed to #961584 and thought, I'd
get informed that way when it is fixed. Seems as if that didn't work
out. :-)

So thanks for that hint!

Yay!

Sorry, I didn't try periodically to see if it works again since I
expected that it won't work anyway until #961584 is fixed. I planned
to restart the pipelines once #961584 is fixed.

The salsa CI team implemented a workaround for that 10 days ago:

https://lists.debian.org/120987bc-e315-d1ee-c86f-05f0220b66e2@malerba.space

I restarted the pipeline and all is green now:

https://salsa.debian.org/perl-team/modules/packages/equivs/pipelines/145020

> (Assuming that testing migration doesn't rely on Salsa pipelines.)

It does not. Testing migration is gated by the result of autopkgtest runs on
ci.debian.net and not on salsa ci.

Thank you!! :)

This was mostly because autopkgtests were, well, are still failing on
Salsa and it was initially unclear, why.

But then again, in the meanwhile we know that this isn't a packaging
issue but an LXC issue (https://bugs.debian.org/961584) and hence
should be able to ignore it. (Assuming that testing migration doesn't
rely on Salsa pipelines.)

So thanks for the reminder on this.

Admittedly, yes. Will see if I can manage an upload this evening.

thanks for the fix!

But it's now two weeks since this was fixed in git and no upload has happened
even though this bug is RC severity. Would you mind me doing an NMU of equivs?

Thanks!

Hello,

Bug #958414 in equivs reported by you has been fixed in the
Git repository and is awaiting an upload. You can see the commit
message below and you can check the diff of the fix at:

https://salsa.debian.org/perl-team/modules/packages/equivs/-/commit/1f342aea93c5b2f0554439accb16eae23ea3f6b5

Don't let dpkg-buildpackage check for build-dependencies

It implicitly and unconditionally adds build-essential which
equivs-generated metapackages don't need in nearly any case.

Closes: #958414
