Hmmm. Richard? Can you help here?

Unfortunately not. :-/ This looks like a Mandrake-specific GCC 3.4 messup.

So the only advice I can give to the original poster: Use the jigdo for
Linux which can be downloaded from the jigdo homepage. That binary is
statically linked, so you should not experience problems like the one
 above.

A quote from Nirvana Well, whatever, nevermind.
I've already downloaded the whole debian distro through ftp. Sorry for it,
regret soing it, but already done it. :)

Anyway, thanks for your help. If it wasn't the speed of my net connection, I
would definetely try to download Debian through jigdo.

Cheers, and hope to see you guy on some mailing list when I will be using
Debian (why does Mandrake try to be smarter then the average user?)

Mike

Jigdo .template problem

2004-10-18 Thread mikiwoz
Hello
I'e been trying to download the woody isos through jigdo, bot I keep on
getting:

Downloading .template file

The .template file does not belong to the .jigdo file - the
chances are high that the image generation process will break.
I will abort now. If you know better than me and want this error
to be ignored, enter the string 42 to proceed.

Note that you might get this error if you resumed the download of a
.template file, and that .template file has changed on the server in
the meantime. In this case, you may be able to fix the problem by
deleting the .template file and restarting jigdo-lite.

[ignore the Polish words, they're irrelevant to the problem]

JIGDO file:

MIRRORS:
I've tried botth Polish (ftp.pl.debian.org) and US mirrors. Besides, the
template file isn't even downloaded from mirror servers, is it? It's
downloaded from the server from wich the jigdo file was downloaded.

I don't want to download the full ISOs from Debian servers, as Debian kindly
requests not to do this.

Any ideas? I also tried to d/l the woody cd 2 - the same problem with
template. And, of course, I tried the 42 string, but:
-
Merging parts from `file:' URIs, if any...

_ZN9__gnu_cxx18__exchange_and_addEPVii, version GLIBCXX_3.4 not defined in

jigdo-file failed with code 127 - aborting.

TIA
Mike

Hmmm. The above errors look bad. It looks to me like there's nothing
necessarily wrong with the templates, but your copy of jigdo-file is
unhappy. It's looking for versioned symbols from libstdc++.so.6, but
is not finding them. What system are you running jigdo on, and which
version of jigdo do you have?

Jigdo version 0.7.0
Mandrake 10.0
