This one is OK:

The (daily-ish) netinst builds pick up on the daily d-i build, which
starts at about midnight UTC. The latest build at

http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/daily-builds/sid_d-i/20191114-3/amd64/iso-cd/

looks good here AFAICS.

It may have taken an extra build for things to pull through. I just
grabbed

http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/daily-builds/sid_d-i/20191114-3/amd64/iso-cd/

and it looks ok here.

Last modification date of the iso here
https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/daily-builds/daily/arch-latest/amd64/iso-cd/
point to today.

However, a quick look (not booted yet) in the ISO file,
/pool/main/l/linux-signed-amd64/ seems to still show a 5.2 kernel and 5.3
modules.

Maybe this is unrelated to the debian-installer issue.

Best,
Julien

Thank you for your reply. However, poking around I don't find any updated iso

Hi guys,

We've had a spate of build failures in debian-installer recently that
have triggered problems like this. I've just pushed a fix now thay
should hopefully get things going again.

2019-11-12 Thread Svante Signell
Hello,

Downloading both the latest weekly (20191028) and daily build (2019110) of
debian-testing-amd64-netinst.iso the following error message is displayed:
"No kernel modules were found. This is probably due to a mismatch between the
kernel used by this version of the installer and the version of the kernel
version available in the archive. etc"

Other people, Julien Bigot, on this list have also seen the problem. Where can I
find the latest netinst iso not having this problem. An yes, a bug should be
filed for this problem.

Thanks

Hello again,

After some digging I found this rather old (but still open?) bug that
describes something pretty similar to what I'm seeing (at least from the
symptoms point of view, I don't know about the root causes)
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=779616

Is the behavior I'm observing a known one that is described by this bug or
should I open a new bug?

Best,
Julien

Kernel / modules version do not match in weekly testing install CD

2019-11-06 Thread Julien Bigot
Hello,

I have tried to install the latest testing (2019-10-28 05:44) as found in
https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/weekly-builds/amd64/iso-cd/

When installing I get an error about unability to load modules. It seems this
is due to a version mismatch between the kernel (5.2.0-3) and kernel modules
(5.3.0-1) packages in the ISO.

Am I doing something wrong?

Best,
Julien
