Bug#4222: dig in the wrong package?

1996-08-22 Thread Richard Kettlewell Richard Kettlewell
Package: bind
Version: 4.9.3-P1-3

`dig' really belongs in the `dnsutils' package, not the `bind'
package; just because one is not running a local name server does not
imply that one doens't want to use `dig' to look things up.

May I suggest that the nslookup in the dnsutils package is replaced
by the real one. The nslookup in dnsutils is now a shell script wrapper
around host and I HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT

I guess I've made my point haven't I :)
