IMHO, developer tools should not emit warnings for conditions which are mandated by the policy. Therefore I reported the bug because apparently tools and policy are currently out of sync. Except that there's no real agreement that this field is needed as part of the python policy. Quite a number of packages do not use it... Still, the warning is annoying. When people use a XC or XS prefix, they probably didn't create a new field by error ... I understand that we want to be more careful for standard headers but for XC/XS headers, we could be a bit less picky.
