When a Debian Edu user log in for the first time, a welcome page is shown. This page is translated to 8 langauges, but it would be nice to get more translations. This is the current status:
de.po: 40 translated messages, 3 fuzzy translations. es.po: 40 translated messages, 3 fuzzy translations. fr.po: 43 translated messages. it.po: 39 translated messages, 4 fuzzy translations. nb.po: 43 translated messages. nl.po: 39 translated messages, 4 fuzzy translations. ru.po: 43 translated messages. zh.po: 40 translated messages, 3 fuzzy translations. Anyone know any other languages and are interested in translating? The source files are available from <URL: svn://svn.debian.org/debian-edu/trunk/src/debian-edu-config/www >. To translate, copy index.pot to <langcode>.po, and start translating. When you are done, submit the translation as a wishlist bug to bugs.debian.org against the debian-edu-config package. It would be great if these translation files could be merged with the files in debian/po/, to allow translators to only update one file for the debian-edu-config package. Anyone interested in implementing this? It would be even greater if Iceweasel would get the correct langauge version of the web page when showing the welcome page. At the moment the english page is shown and the user need to click on the language button to get their translated page. :( Happy hacking, -- Petter Reinholdtsen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-edu-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
