Bug#568913: depends on nonexistent glibc-2.11-1
Well now everything is OK, # apt-cache policy locales locales: Installed: 2.11-0exp4 Candidate: 2.11-0exp4 Version table: *** 2.11-0exp4 0 990 http://ftp.tw.debian.org experimental/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2.10.2-5 0 500 http://ftp.tw.debian.org unstable/main Packages except for tones of these when doing aptitude full-upgrade, perl: warning: Setting locale failed. perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings: LANGUAGE = (unset), LC_ALL = (unset), LC_MESSAGES = C, LC_COLLATE = C, LC_CTYPE = zh_TW.UTF-8, LANG = zh_TW.UTF-8 are supported and installed on your system. perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale (C). Bug#568913: depends on nonexistent glibc-2.11-1
Package: locales Now there are TWO experimental packages. # apt-cache policy locales locales: Installed: 2.10.2-5 Candidate: 2.11-0exp4 Version table: 2.11-0exp4 0 990 http://ftp.tw.debian.org experimental/main Packages 2.11-0exp2 0 990 http://ftp.tw.debian.org experimental/main Packages *** 2.10.2-5 0 500 http://ftp.tw.debian.org unstable/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status However both depend on nonexistent glibc-2.11-1. Experimental hasn't got full autobuilder support. You see such bogus Architecture: all packages if the source package hasn't been built for your architecture. (Presumably, things could be improved on the dak side. to skip such packages when compiling the Packages file.) Note that this should not cause problems in practice because APT will not install from experimental automatically (hence the three starts before version 2.10.2-5). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-glibc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. There is nothing we can solve here. I've been having this particular problem for several months, not just recently. I suppose you are talking about a time frame of a few months?
