I couldn't find any way to turn it off in the settings. I mostly use 'bounce' to bounce wrongly directed messages to our support address. The bounce then reveals my personal email address to the customers which is not what I desire. I even more often use 'bounce' to recirect spam to my spamtrap (doing some bayes learning etc.). This creates a DSN to the fake sender address of the spam mail which is one of the badest things to do. -Benoit- -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24 (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=de_CH, LC_CTYPE=de_CH (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages kmail depends on: ii kdebase-kio-plug 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-6core I/O slaves for KDE ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-0lenny1 core libraries and binaries for al ii kdepim-kio-plugi 4:3.5.9-5 KDE pim I/O Slaves ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.20-2Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libaudio21.9.1-5 Network Audio System - shared libr ii libc62.7-18 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libfontconfig1 2.6.0-3 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.3.7-2 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgcc1 1:4.3.2-1.1 GCC support library ii libice6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libidn11 1.8+20080606-1 GNU libidn library, implementation ii libjpeg626b-14 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libkcal2b4:3.5.9-5 KDE calendaring library ii libkdepim1a 4:3.5.9-5 KDE PIM library ii libkleopatra14:3.5.9-5 KDE GnuPG interface libraries ii libkmime24:3.5.9-5 KDE MIME interface library ii libkpimidentitie 4:3.5.9-5 KDE PIM user identity information ii libksieve0 4:3.5.9-5 KDE mail/news message filtering li ii libmimelib1c2a 4:3.5.9-5 KDE mime library ii libpng12-0 1.2.27-2+lenny2 PNG library - runtime ii libqt3-mt3:3.3.8b-5+b1 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libsm6 2:1.0.3-2 X11 Session Management library ii libstdc++6 4.3.2-1.1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 2:1.1.5-2 X11 client-side library ii libxcursor1 1:1.1.9-1 X cursor management library ii libxext6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxft2 2.1.12-3FreeType-based font drawing librar ii libxi6 2:1.1.4-1 X11 Input extension library ii libxinerama1 2:1.0.3-2 X11 Xinerama extension library ii libxrandr2 2:1.2.3-1 X11 RandR extension library ii libxrender1 1:0.9.4-2 X Rendering Extension client libra ii libxt6 1:1.0.5-3 X11 toolkit intrinsics library ii perl 5.10.0-19 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime Versions of packages kmail recommends: ii kmailcvt 4:3.5.9-5 KDE KMail mail folder converter ii procmail 3.22-16Versatile e-mail processor Versions of packages kmail suggests: ii clamav 0.94.dfsg.2-1 anti-virus utility for Unix - comm ii gnupg 1.4.9-3 GNU privacy guard - a free PGP rep ii gnupg-agent2.0.9-3.1 GNU privacy guard - password agent ii kaddressbook 4:3.5.9-5 KDE NG addressbook application ii kleopatra

(NB: If you are a system administrator and have no idea what this message is talking about, this may indicate a serious mail system misconfiguration somewhere. Please contact ow...@bugs.debian.org immediately.) -- 482609: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=482609 Debian Bug Tracking System Contact ow...@bugs.debian.org with problems ---BeginMessage--- Package: kdepim-kio-plugins Version: 4:3.5.9-2 Severity: normal I use kmail with spamassassin to get and read my e-mail. I receive tons of spam since my address is public (you can find it at a lot of places, not the least Debian BTS) but I receive legitimate messages at the same address. It is an IMAP account. Kmail regularly checks for new e-mail. It is normal to download complete messages to check them through spamassassin. But the problem is that kmail, through kio-imap, download every message every time. So all messages are completely downloaded, checked and then reuploaded all times, thus wasting a lot of bandwidth and (even worst) time. Sometimes, so much time than the next regular check starts just after finishing uploading messages from the previous. Is not possible to make kio-imap to cache which messages have been spamassassin checked? Problem is reproducible: 1 take an IMAP account on some server 2 configure kmail to check that account regularly, with a relatively short period 3 configure kmail to check all incoming messages through spamassasin (standard local spamassassin) 4 publish your e-mail address This problem causes another, harder one. Sometimes, if you have a small failure in your internet connexion, or just a burst of load, kmail starts a new check without finishing the previous one, and shows you the same message several times on screen. It has happened a lot of times, and I've checked into the server real directories and there are no such messages there. So there is some sort of caching, but it does not work well. If you click one of the repeated messages, kmail downloads it and shows it to you. If you click the other, kmail shows you an empty message. Refreshing does not help. Trying to move the empty message to another folder of the same IMAP account causes kmail to crash. If you restart kmail almost immediately, since kio-imap4 is still alive, the problem persists and you still see duplicated messages (I've seen once octuplicated messages, and several times triplicated and quadruplicated ones). To put in one sentence: kmail+spamassassin on IMAP sucks (not intended to be offensive, just my feeling). And I need kmail and spamassasin because my local folders are maildir and i receive tons (not uncommon 200/day) spam messages. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_ES.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_ES.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages kdepim-kio-plugins depends on: ii kdelibs4c2a4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-4 core libraries and binaries for al ii kdepim-kresources 4:3.5.9-2 KDE pim resource plugins ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.20-2 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libaudio2 1.9.1-2 Network Audio System - shared libr ii libc6 2.7-10GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libfontconfig1 2.5.0-2 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.3.5-1+b1FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgcc11:4.3.0-3 GCC support library ii libice62:1.0.4-1 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libidn11 1.8-1 GNU libidn library, implementation ii libjpeg62 6b-14 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libkcal2b 4:3.5.9-2 KDE calendaring library ii libkdepim1a4:3.5.9-2 KDE PIM library ii libkmime2 4:3.5.9-2 KDE MIME interface library ii libpng12-0 1.2.27-1 PNG library - runtime ii libqt3-mt 3:3.3.8b-5Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libsasl2-2 2.1.22.dfsg1-20 Cyrus SASL - authentication abstra ii libsm6 2:1.0.3-1+b1 X11 Session Management library ii libstdc++6 4.3.0-3 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii

Bug#573865: /usr/bin/kolourpaint: no entry in gnome application menu
reassign 573865 gnome-menus thanks Alle domenica 14 marzo 2010, Stéphane Blondon ha scritto: However kolourpaint.desktop files exists: steph...@degtyarov:~ $ locate kolourpaint |grep desktop /usr/share/app-install/desktop/kolourpaint.desktop /usr/share/applications/kde4/kolourpaint.desktop /usr/share/gnome/applications/kde4/kolourpaint.desktop But it's not displayed in Gnome (perhaps it's ok in KDE?). Correct, because the gnome-menus package for some reason blacklists various KDE entries from the GNOME menu. Without this, kolourpaint would be shown nicely in the GNOME menu, as kolourpaint's .desktop file has no desktop environment constraints. -- Pino Toscano signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

If Squeeze dosen't ship with Koffice is it expected to make a showing in backports fairly soon after the release? Keeping a Lenny install in VirtualBox is not my preferred solution so I'd rather keep my stable workstation at Lenny until Koffice is available for Squeeze via backports if that will be an option. thanks, JN -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-kde-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Nepomuk: re-checking the strigi index constantly
I've upgraded to the fresh 4.4.2 packages and now Nepomuk apparently finishes its indexing work. In my case, it stops at a (reasonable) 143.492 files. Nice. As far as I can tell, Nepomuk periodically re-checks the index. It blazes through the indexed folders, not taking much time per folder, but overall, considering the number of indexed files, it takes quite a while. Unfortunately, about as long as the checking interval. So, in effect, Nepomuk appears to be re-checking its index most of the time, in the process using more than 100% CPU (dual core) among virtuoso, strigi, and other nepomukservices. Apparently, a new /usr/bin/nepomukservicestub nepomukstrigiservice is started every 8 or 9 minutes. from ~/.xsession-errors I can't see anything that indicates that these processes are crashing. El Domingo, 28 de Marzo de 2010, Nick Boyce escribió: ... and I expect the answer to that is *either* that the Debian devs work so closely with the KDE devs that they get privileged early access, Is as simple as this: the KDE people releases the tarballs some days (I think is a week) before the announcement, but only to packagers. Not a huge deal, since the tag is public in SVN, but helps in many ways: - it gives time to catch last minute problems. - it gives time to promo team and translators to work on the announcements. - it gives time to the packagers to do their job, so the day the announcement is public, users that want to try the product can find it ready to use in their distributions. This is something that IMO is very well done by KDE. The day I read the announcement on news sites about a new Mozilla browser, I always ask myself: when will be packaged for Debian Sid? When will the translation be packaged too? When will the extensions be ported and packaged so I can dist-upgrade without removing packages with conflicts? Modestas, and other packagers, are probably too bored to explain this again and again. -- Alex (a.k.a. suy) | GPG ID 0x0B8B0BC2 http://barnacity.net/ | http://disperso.net -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-kde-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
