Bug#866174: dolphin: Reload results in extending selection of files when ordered by tag
Package: dolphin Version: 4:16.08.3-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, If one sorts files in Dolphin by tags, then selects several files in immediate sequence, however, not starting at the top of the list (e.g. select files 4th - 6th) and then press F5 or select Cotnrol -> Reload, the selection is extended to include all the files above the bottom most selected. Examples to reproduce: Sort files by tags (in my case I do have tags assigned to some files and it seems to actually matter, for if the folder contains files without tags, this does not seem to happen), select 4th - 6th file in the list and press F5. Files 1st - 6th will be selected. But after reload I expect my selection to be preserved. Further example. Select files 4th and 6th (not 5th) and press F5 (again assuming the files have been sorted by tag and tags are present at least for some files), files 1st - 6th are all selected while again only 4th and 6th files should preserved their selected attribute. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE= (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages dolphin depends on: ii baloo-kf5 5.28.0-2 ii kinit 5.28.0-1 ii kio5.28.0-2 ii libc6 2.24-11+deb9u1 ii libdolphinvcs5 4:16.08.3-3 ii libkf5baloo5 5.28.0-2 ii libkf5baloowidgets516.04.0-1+b1 ii libkf5bookmarks5 5.28.0-1 ii libkf5codecs5 5.28.0-1+b2 ii libkf5completion5 5.28.0-1 ii libkf5configcore5 5.28.0-2 ii libkf5configgui5 5.28.0-2 ii libkf5configwidgets5 5.28.0-2 ii libkf5coreaddons5 5.28.0-2 ii libkf5crash5 5.28.0-1 ii libkf5dbusaddons5 5.28.0-1 ii libkf5filemetadata35.28.0-1+b2 ii libkf5i18n55.28.0-2 ii libkf5iconthemes5 5.28.0-2 ii libkf5itemviews5 5.28.0-1 ii libkf5jobwidgets5 5.28.0-2 ii libkf5kcmutils55.28.0-2 ii libkf5kiocore5 5.28.0-2 ii libkf5kiofilewidgets5 5.28.0-2 ii libkf5kiowidgets5 5.28.0-2 ii libkf5newstuff55.28.0-1 ii libkf5notifications5 5.28.0-1 ii libkf5parts5 5.28.0-1 ii libkf5service-bin 5.28.0-1 ii libkf5service5 5.28.0-1 ii libkf5solid5 5.28.0-3 ii libkf5textwidgets5 5.28.0-1 ii libkf5widgetsaddons5 5.28.0-3 ii libkf5windowsystem55.28.0-2 ii libkf5xmlgui5 5.28.0-1 ii libphonon4qt5-44:4.9.0-4 ii libqt5core5a 5.7.1+dfsg-3+b1 ii libqt5dbus55.7.1+dfsg-3+b1 ii libqt5gui5 5.7.1+dfsg-3+b1 ii libqt5widgets5 5.7.1+dfsg-3+b1 ii libqt5xml5 5.7.1+dfsg-3+b1 ii libstdc++6 6.3.0-18 ii phonon4qt5 4:4.9.0-4 Versions of packages dolphin recommends: ii kio-extras 4:16.08.3-1 ii ruby1:2.3.3 Versions of packages dolphin suggests: pn dolphin-plugins -- no debconf information
Bug#866173: baloo-kf5: Baloo indexing results in full freeze of plasma desktop
Package: baloo-kf5 Version: 5.28.0-2 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, upon enabling baloo file search (System settings -> Search -> File Search) in Stretch after upgrade, it starts to index files. However, there are brief surges of CPU use which lead to 100% use of one core out of 4 available. During this surge, the whole plasma desktop becomes unusable, eg. desktops cannot be switched, terminal freezes, the surges happen about every 10 s and last about 2-3 s. Although in Debian 8, baloo did use significant amount of CPU as well, the desktop freezing did not occur. Finally not every surge leads to a complete lockup of the plasma desktop. In the worst event that baloo fully takes over resources of one core, the rest of the system has still available sufficient resources to continue functioning without interuption. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE= (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages baloo-kf5 depends on: ii kio 5.28.0-2 ii libc62.24-11+deb9u1 ii libkf5baloo5 5.28.0-2 ii libkf5balooengine5 5.28.0-2 ii libkf5configcore55.28.0-2 ii libkf5coreaddons55.28.0-2 ii libkf5crash5 5.28.0-1 ii libkf5dbusaddons55.28.0-1 ii libkf5filemetadata3 5.28.0-1+b2 ii libkf5i18n5 5.28.0-2 ii libkf5idletime5 5.28.0-1 ii libkf5kiocore5 5.28.0-2 ii libkf5solid5 5.28.0-3 ii libqt5core5a 5.7.1+dfsg-3+b1 ii libqt5dbus5 5.7.1+dfsg-3+b1 ii libqt5gui5 5.7.1+dfsg-3+b1 ii libqt5qml5 5.7.1-2+b2 ii libqt5widgets5 5.7.1+dfsg-3+b1 ii libstdc++6 6.3.0-18 baloo-kf5 recommends no packages. baloo-kf5 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information

Bug#866090: konsolekalendar crash with 'Qt has caught an exception thrown from an event handler'
Package: konsolekalendar Version: 4:16.04.3-3 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, I can't run the programm konsolekalendar, everytime i got an error: konsolekalendar --list-calendars --verbose -- Qt has caught an exception thrown from an event handler. Throwing exceptions from an event handler is not supported in Qt. You must not let any exception whatsoever propagate through Qt code. Re: Plasma 5.10 in experimental ?
newbee...@nativobject.net - 27.06.17, 10:44: > Is there any imports of Plasma 5.10 and/or KDE application 17.04 on some > experimental mirrors ? >From what I gathered from #debian-qt-kde channel on IRC there is no ETA for updated packages currently. Also from what I read there the team is working on updated Qt packages first. My current bet is that updated KF5 and Plasma packages will follow after Qt upgrade is done. What I have seen is upgraded Plasma LTS 5.8 and KF 5.28 packages in Unstable to fix bugs and requests to include them in Debian Stretch as well. I am not sure how that will continue, once Plasma / KF packages of newer versions are in unstable. Thanks, -- Martin
