Works good so far, takes a bit to load all the MP3s into local db, and even longer to get all the covers from the internet, but afterwards its quite fast and plays music as expected. No slowness in local collection view, adding mp3s to playlist and so on. Not yet fully tested with playlist management, though. One malus: the area in strawb to play/pause/stop/next track music is fixed in size and position, which looks not so nice on 4k screens, for me a bit to small and not able to mave that part around. It starts, it shows my collection, it shows my playlist and it plays music as expected. So far job done (as a start). (no wiki, no lyrics, but hey, it plays music). One note: it runs only from the directory it was built within. Even after a make install (which ruins the instlled debian package, although I did issue a -DDBUS_INTERFACES_INSTALL_DIR=/home/user option) it runs only from withing the build/bin directory. If I run from a different directory, I get a: amarok: symbol lookup error: amarok: undefined symbol: _ZN3App17activateRequestedERK11QStringListRK7QString (I did installed a lot of dev packages for QT, and cmake call do shows lots of warnings, but make did run through). One point though: after build is done, you can run amarok from the build/bin directory, but it shows no start/stop icon, no text in playlist. Only after the make install it shows them. But the make install did ruin the debian package installation (did copy over, to bad), no way back for me^^ I will test more now. Problem with copy files 9 GB into OpenAFS
Hi! We try to use debian wheezy with KDE 4.8.4 and OpenAFS 1.6.2. Currently OpenAFS reports on fs base on a du -h : AFS 8,6G 0 8,6G0% /afs as it is a special network filesystem with quota based on each directory level. Which includes: every directory has a different df value and even if /afs/cgv.utgraz.at/test has only 1 MB free, /afs/cgv.utgraz.at/test/new/ could have 200 GB free. Now if I try to copy a file 9GB (to be more exact: over the df reported by OpenAFS for /afs/) into a subdirectoy with enough quota, KDE copy breaks with a disk full error, although enough space is available. KDE on squeeze did not have had this error/problem. Which package do we need to report a rc bug against? Thank you. slow system if trayicon is animated
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hi! I do use KDE 4.8.4-3 from sid on my debian AMD64 system. kde-plasma-desktop is version 5:77. Everytime the tray Icons show a animation (XChat blinking ! or the rotating information from Kopete), the KDE gui gets very very slow and unresponsive. I use a onBoard AMD graphics chipset [AMD] nee ATI RS880 [Radeon HD 4250] with the freeware driver, as the AMD radeon does no more support this chipset. Due to power consumption, noise and heat I do not want to use a seperate graphics hardware in that system. (but even on a second system with a nVidia Corporation G70 [GeForce 7800 GTX] (rev a1) the system is slow while tray Icons are animated). Even on adding/removing a tray icon the system/GUI gets slow. But if the tray icons are static, system is fine, playing FullHD video is possible via VLC with no problem. Any idea on howto not slow down the system without using a HighEnd graphics adapter? Benq 800A, DVD-r Ultron k3b 0.11.6-1 Problem

Diappearing symbols on KDE 3.1.4
