Bug#325292: Is this bug still alive?

Misssing association for PDF?
Hi, I have a problem with associating PDF for anything useful -- whether I do it through Control Panel or Properties of the file, KDE doesn't like it remembers the association and either claims that kdeinit couldn't launch filename.pdf or (in better cases) I get the dialog box asking me which application should be used for opening PDF file (and no, when I check Remember to open with this application box, it doesn't remember anything). I tried it with testing user and there everything worked smoothly, so I guess there must be something wrong with my ~/.kde. However, even when I removed from ~/.kde/share everything except apps, config, and wallpapers folders (while KDE was switched off, of course), it didn't help and the error was same (this time in Which application to use? form). I am doing research and most of my data are from Internet and many of them in PDF, so this is really unpleasant. Have anybody met anything so weird? Is it known bug, or is there known workaround? Re: kdm/xorg7 Xsession issue?
Tim Ruehsen wrote: But now it filled with errors (kmail_clamav.sh errors, FAM connection problems, DCOP errors etc...). Is it of any interest for anyone - or is it normal? Yes, it is created with every start of X-session (roughly speaking, when you log in through kdm) and it is full of unimportant stuff. However, when the problem happens, it is usefull to take a look there, because there are often quite interesting information -- like that you don't have /etc/X11/Xsessions. Basically, /var/log/Xorg.*.log is interesting until the kdm starts, and ~/.xsession-errors since then. The difference is that starting of X itself is done under root's ownership (and thus logging goes to the system-wide place -- /var/log), whereas sessions are run under user's ownership and thus all logs go into $HOME/ . Bug#346029: libqt3-mt: Deadkeys don't work with Qt-based applications and cz keyboard
Package: libqt3-mt Version: 3:3.3.5-3 Severity: important -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I am not sure whether I should file this here or against the xlibs-data package, but the problem shows itself only in Qt-based applications (both KDE and non-KDE, like lyx-qt) so I am going here. When pressing deadkey with a letter, combination of which gives Czech letter with diacritical mark (e.g., zcaron), I get caron and letter-z as two separate characters, ˇz. Mozilla, plain xterm (not konsole) work in this regard correctly (there are other keyboard related issues here -- #345436 collects many of them, but I have also #345893 -- which makes me wonder whether it is not bug of xorg after all). Unfortuantely, this makes all Qt-based application practically unusable for all Czech users. Compose in xorg 6.9
Hi, I have upgraded to the latest sid and with upgrade to 6.9 (xlibs-data is from package xlibs-data_6.9.0.dfsg.1-1) both Compose key and advanced options of synaptics driver (scrolling by dragging on touchpad) are gone. Using KDE from sid and settings for keyboard driven by the Configuration Panel in KDE and having locale cs_CZ.UTF-8, xev shows Multi_key on pressing former CapsLock key, but Composeae prints just letters a and e (not a composite character æ). Attached is output of command egrep 'WW|EE' /var/log/Xorg.0.log Any ideas, please?
