RE: htdig and kde
The most common problem occurs when indexing is attempted. The rewponse is htdig.conf cannot be found, even though the .conf file exists in /etc. -Original Message- From: Karolina Lindqvist [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, April 14, 2003 11:45 AM To: debian-kde@lists.debian.org Subject: Re: htdig and kde måndagen den 14 april 2003 11.33 skrev Cajus Pollmeier: Normally you'll get an extra tab in the khelpcenter where you can search. How did you get the index stuff working? So if I don't get that search tab, the indexes obviously don't get created properly. Oh, well. I will look into it at some later time. Disk mount/unmount GUI...
Does Debian, or KDE, have an application similar to Mandrake's DiskDrake, or selecting and mounting/unmounting disk partitions. kdevelop and ht-dig...
After installing kdevelop and ht-dig, both with apt-get, kdevelop now tells me that it can't find the ht-dig.conf file, but it is in /etc where it should be. Any ideas? KDE 3.05 to 3.1...
I have upgraded my Debian (testing) installation from KDE 3.05 to 3.1, following the README on: http://www.ktown.kde.org/~nolden/kde with 99% success, and almost bloodless. However, I have been unable to install kdesdk and kdelibs4-dev due to the following unsatisfied dependencies: libasound2 (=0.9.0beta10a-3) (UNSATISFIED) libmad0-dev depends libmad0 (=0.14.2b-3) (UNSATISFIED) libcupsys2-dev depends libcupsys2 (=1.1.14-3)(UNSATISFIED) libogg-dev depends libogg0 (=1.0rc3-1)(UNSATISFIED) libvorbis-dev depends libvorbis (=1.0rc3-1)(UNSATISFIED) In all instances, it is trying to install a newer version than the one required. What did I do wrong? twgray
KDevelop...
KDevelop complains about not being able to find HtDig.conf when trying to index the Qt and KDE libraries. HtDig has been installed from the Debian packages and the .conf file is in /etc. Any ideas? Possibly rebuilding HtDig? twgray
RE: new debs 2003-01-02
Can we just do an 'apt-get upgrade' from KDE 3.05a, with your new debs? -Original Message- From: Ralf Nolden [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, January 02, 2003 3:59 PM To: debian-kde@lists.debian.org Subject: new debs 2003-01-02 -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hi, just finished uploading a set of new debs. These should fix some issues that were remaining, plus I added some more apps. 1. fixed issues a) kdelibs4-doc is a package that contains the KDE API documentation which can be found in /usr/share/doc/kde/HTML/en/kdelibs-apidocs. This package wasn't made correctly from CVS, so I fixed this first for the Branch. For libkonq and other libs in kdebase there's still things to do to get HTML docu for the API, especially adding a package to kdebase. b) kdebase taskbar problem fixed c) dh-make template in kdelibs4-dev fixed (hopefully). You should be able to build debs with dh_make -t /usr/share/doc/kdelibs4-dev/dh-make d) kdevelop rebuild due to the libpng problem e) other issues that I don't remember. Read [EMAIL PROTECTED] on lists.kde.org :-) 2. added applications quanta 3.1, ktagebuch, calcchecksum, ksambaplugin and I think one other, don't remember. Look for yourself :-) 3. updated kopete to today's CVS. Mind that this version is not numbered 0.6+cvs but 0.5.8+cvs like the about box says. Sorry, but the package that is around on IRC is irritating first :-) 4. Packages file is regenerated, should work. Use: deb http://ktown.kde.org/~nolden/kde/woody/i386/ ./ Please report problems to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or here. Kdevelop problems - no libfam.la...
I just upgraded Woody to KDE 3.0.5. Now, when I try to build from sources at: http://people.debian.org/~njordan , I get a compile error of: /usr/lib/libfam.la no such file. How does libfam.la get generated? I think fam.pkg provides the libfam library, but not libfam.la. Any help? Thanks twgray
