I guess this applies to 'experimental'. No such package in Sid/unstable.

mail indexing moved to akonadi-search (renamed baloo), but with my self-
compiled KDEPIM it doesn´t work either for now. Didn´t look closer to it.

E-mail search in KMail

2015-10-02 Thread Frank Mehnert
Hi,

I'm using latest Sid. Which service is responsible for indexing my emails?
My emails are located in local folders. I have Akonadi running as well as
Baloo. I've restricted Baloo file indexing to $HOME/Mail but I can search
only in emails which are older than a few days, in other words, recent
emails are not part of the index anymore.

So what do I have to do to get indexing my local emails working?

I run baloo-kf5, do I need to run baloo4 to index kmail (which is still
from KDE4)?

Thanks,

Frank

Hello.

I see that link was last updated on January, so perhaps it doesn't reflect
current packages. baloo-kf5 replaces baloo4, so I suppose email indexing
should work with it (but it doesn't in my case either).

Perhaps we should file a bug agaisnt baloo-kf5.

Regards.

now I found https://wiki.debian.org/KDE/Jessie/kontact and saw that I
actually have to install baloo4 which conflicts with baloo-kf5. But it
looks like this did the trick.

Sorry for the noise,
