Yes.

I believe that is this upstream bug
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=346961

I'm going to test if removing the write access to the kscreen config file
works as a workaround. Other workaround I've seen is to configure your
displays in Xorg.

Yes, here on Nvidia drivers with two screens the same happens. Not sure
if it's every other reboot though, but from time to time i loose the
screen arrangement and get both in clone mode with wrong resolution.
I am investigating Yakuake (a terminal emulator) which starts with the
session and tries to display a pop-up message over the plasma session
splash screen, it may be what triggers the problem.

Otherwise it's great and stable.

Cheers.

Hi,

my experience is, that after i send my pc to hibernate or reboot the screen
settings get sometimes lost (like every second reboot).

Then i have to re-arrange the positions of the two screens again on first
login.

Has anyone else the same experience?

Going to try that on the desktop, maybe even tonight.

No, I use laptop display + external display. I have no reason to disable
laptop display, so…

Did you try what happens when you switch away all displays? That was
an annoying bug in the last year making it impossible to have a
desktop and a notebook connected to the same displays via two KVM switches

multi screen handling definately better now

2016-06-20 Thread Martin Steigerwald
Hi!

The multiscreen handling with KF 5.22/5.23 and Plasma 5.6.4/5 and especially
Qt 5.6.1 is definately working better now.

The disappearing window bug on disconnecting external display is gone.

Thats really, really nice.

Thanks,
