Bug#608118: AW: OCFS2 filesystem fails with Kernel Stacktraces
Hi Jonathan, Before investigating this further: can you still reproduce this? What kernel are you using these days? Is it reproducible without the vmware modules? Sorry for the late answer, it has been rather busy these days here. Unfortunalety, I don't have the testing environment available anymore as our requirements here changed in the meantime and we are happy with a pure active/passive solution (using ext4 instead of a ClusterFS). Unfortunately, I cannot say if I again have the time available to give it a test run. If I'm the only one experiencing this, I'd say leave it as it is. If I ever need OCFS on Debian in the future, I'll have to build a new testbed anyway. kmod NMU / m-i-t installability
Hello, as discussed on IRC, I've just uploaded an NMU for kmod, working around the linking issues on ia64[1] so that module-init-tools stops being uninstallable (following Ben's request). 1. https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=kmodarch=ia64ver=6-1stamp=1331017246 You'll find attached the source debdiff. As you can see from the excuses page[2], the high urgency is ignored since the package isn't in testing yet. Feel free to contact debian-release@ (Cc'd) if that needs adjustment. 2. http://release.debian.org/britney/update_excuses.html#kmod Mraw, KiBi. diff -Nru kmod-6/debian/changelog kmod-6/debian/changelog --- kmod-6/debian/changelog 2012-03-03 15:54:14.0 + +++ kmod-6/debian/changelog 2012-03-07 01:46:11.0 + @@ -1,3 +1,13 @@ +kmod (6-1.1) unstable; urgency=low + + * Non-maintainer upload with maintainer approval. + * Work around FTBFS on ia64 (probable toolchain bug) due to undefined +references to kmod_log when linking tools/kmod: Add libkmod-private.la +to kmod's LDADD variable to ensure that linking happens properly. ++ Patch: work_around_linking_issues; tested on merulo. + + -- Cyril Brulebois k...@debian.org Wed, 07 Mar 2012 01:40:37 + + kmod (6-1) unstable; urgency=low * New upstream release.
