I believe it is compiling without the patch, as it is the same version found in the Debian repository. Package: firmware-realtek Version: 20230404-1 Severity: important This firmware contains the rtw88 module and needs some settings to have a stable connection, like disabling the ASPM (Active State Power Management) and this is possible by creating a file in /etc/modprobe.d/rtw88_pci.conf. If you are the maintainer and want to merge the reports, it would be interesting. I had no information about it and it was a test. Reference about this: https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control Bug report in Debian BTS: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=964480 Bugzilla Kernel bug report: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208251 Greetings, Leandro Cunha
Bug#964480: linux: ath9k (USB) broken in upstresm linux 5.7.3 after commit 6602f080cb
Hi, I had previously reported this problem. I tried to merge with 964153 the reports but apparently without success, believe that this function is only for maintainers of the package. Greetings, Leandro Cunha

Bug#964153: Problem connecting wireless in new version Kernel
Package: linux Version: 5.7.6-1 Severity: important -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA512 Hi, After upgrading the kernel to 5.7, my wireless card that I use via usb does not load the module, neither the owner nor the open source firmware, which is the ath9k firmware of model AR9271 and I am not aware if the problem occurs for the others cards, but at the moment I'm keeping the version 5.6. Aware that the firmware is not a driver, the downgrade solves the problem and this is a regression and I cannot report where it comes from. I checked the dmesg and the log showed a failure to load the card module. And that only happens in the last version released today in testing. Can I report this problem as a regression. Bug with modulo rt2800pci
Package: linux Version: 4.19.37-5 Severity: medium Model hardware: Ralink RT3090 802.11n WiFi Adapter As of version 4.19.67 the problem with this module has been resolved, the module is not a non-free and prevents WiFi from working. The only solution is to add this module to a blacklist and use a USB. I believe the version that is in proposed updates should solve or 5.2 version that is in testing, buster-backports-new and unstable. https://lists.debian.org/debian-kernel/2019/08/msg00371.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-kernel/2019/08/msg00370.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-kernel/2019/08/msg00366.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-kernel/2019/08/msg00363.html Would a report be needed? -BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK- Version: SKS 1.1.6+ Comment: Hostname: pgp.key-server.io mQENBFrJEAsBCADEMX0zA3iYyZinZ55CQVmRenn9RvO3p3vin9iqWSgF4Ytyn1bkS78Larpg mmPDE9Sa1+6Q2pjnVX0epFTu9i+hNdsMRIjsFSuOatnbkNsQXp6iK+N4DFMD+gSfFvVspMIJ IwluCmv/SVMMnCR8KTdN4LhAo0mrkKIpvF8SWM4m5Jvvqv8ttX5045eOPeEek81QCoC/52VS m0s2iCVqa2mABDGS1J5AlN2d2CxbSbUh90+IF1jeoZxrF3C43puk71Dzoou+JC+lzGXxTBYr PxKoMn2dqAYKl6gIxSJJ7oK4uxiPq5Tfe7sqeJ7fbpZoMeFLmYhzCv0AEOHuxXqnciGfABEB AAG0KkxlYW5kcm8gQ3VuaGEgPGxlYW5kcm9jdW5oYUB1bmlwYW0uZWR1LmJyPokBVAQTAQgA PhYhBLQ5QrC67EOoZoPZDwWnuQLbdfksBQJayRALAhsDBQkDwmcABQsJCAcCBhUICQoLAgQW AgMBAh4BAheAAAoJEAWnuQLbdfksSoUIALa92aJQCzBcl/3GY1K3qhm3YCyzLet9vPzraFg2 sGU3BHbWAGjkENrj95n5bSrHpo60hh81mtIWromi8ikYaYwCfNN+3nn1gtidKF61fppDDejA bXEmZ8U9zMvQU3qHtx6Z/ENik0PCjcecvQE0160ibGATsmu2CK9PiLiA3PQQ6te6ecQ9xpO9 wBncXU1ANXeCio08Lssc2VqpMkflqLpre5V7JKu0KnyEVkLpGAymJemf0RLO1773BWC2LBG3 9tAHwrabKLJBpoJdXsQTU0j4j/J7t2ZEvnkYCz3auyG7YuQvLu2zaKT83irKjaDhOOw6iNjN s2Uy3C+XkJBYy425AQ0EWskQCwEIAN43/vj3SLsF78s2krXucMwRBYUqpGZrShfqi36ZLjM1 1geCRmExmKtmahiNuxqdEJ4SypV1b8u9E4sPmAbGp9YQagvExUVz/jscl1KueYQJru0GZ8BY jCBAuWrIwBa2lp7VKXSKZfMZo6Pw+lAfpz4kayWYAUYLdghk4AP4jwuifT+uAH7HXdwhOnyR 0ZwuaTf7X0W7NR9KUhWY/wIKAdBm9GNSB3botSNqcQQFZqYSVaSYsuJdqZ63NoqYftszYJ3C KAjEx06TUxuy9Bn1yUw1cBBO0e33IHmmxY6rovCf6Jhw63E9/USlis91JdRJw5vr13BOuS4Q Uk3XmfiiaxcAEQEAAYkBPAQYAQgAJhYhBLQ5QrC67EOoZoPZDwWnuQLbdfksBQJayRALAhsM BQkDwmcAAAoJEAWnuQLbdfksgesH/3tEnFttGz7Y1RDMlapXLgVP0pEg2AB1NMN1btvjlXQ+ yoGGAdXgyV00BZKRryb1LvbSFQyEO+ARE6A9DIlAZsrrBeyCZeGjb5lf8z7LY1+lUkMsKGuM 6iTE013Jt1YvKYiUajKdQb46tQPC9/wjJcFVXTXs/wBztcIZFNeF0oQdkcYFZ524ytR0yq4+ B7sGsME7fVsNF3HhTPkjaA0ovJ9fvA7eAxRiwAn9r2sZYWL2T/eqf/HiT3r741oE6eZK/cK7 aGFkQa/ZswPDUvDIw6gwxac3RxMcHX+lEWgi/DLSc24p4HFiq+DUudrmc2qXkMRBB9C2GW5q W83N2tSOf8A= =QSf6 -END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-
Bug#870159:
This problem has been reported in github. It really exists and affect sid, testing, stable but does not affect oldstable. https://github.com/qca/open-ath9k-htc-firmware/issues/132 https://github.com/qca/open-ath9k-htc-firmware/issues/133
Bug#868195: Note
Remembering that I am doing everything according to the Debian Wiki. Package wireless-tools it installed. My internal Intel adapter is working perfectly. Link Debian Wiki about atheros devices https://wiki.debian.org/ath9k_htc https://packages.debian.org/stretch/wireless-tools https://wiki.debian.org/WiFi/HowToUse Packages affecteds https://packages.debian.org/stretch/linux-image-amd64 https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git https://packages.debian.org/stretch/firmware-atheros So ignoring this error report is ignoring a problem that may be of many users around the world and this would be a big mistake.
