Bug#530592: initramfs-tools: Same problem here
Package: initramfs-tools Version: 0.93.2 Severity: normal Hi, same problem here with grub2 & lvm & linux-2.6.29 (system is reiserfs partition on lvm) I was rebooting my notebook(because of hard freeze) after several weeks or months using suspend2ram. It couldn't find /dev/disk/by-uuid/SOMEUUID, so I changed root to ROOT=/dev/mapper/disk--sda-system and booting now works. After bootup, I uncommented "GRUB_DISABLE_LINUX_UUID=true" in /etc/default/grub and run update-grub, grub.conf is now without UUIDs. Bug#465461: linux-image-2.6.24-1-686: modprobe sbs fails with "Unknown parameter `update_time'"
Hi, i'm sorry, it was my fault, i have this line options sbs update_time=10 in /etc/modprobe.d/local After comenting it out, module loads, but my notebook freezes hard, doesn't respond to magic sysrq even. 2.6.24 boot freezes on HAL starting up, 2.6.23 boots most times, but sometimes freezes after KDE is started. I suppose, this is hw problem, because i was using 2.6.24 for few days and 2.6.23 for weeks. CU Libor signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.
