Bug#703390: [drm:i915_hangcheck_elapsed] *ERROR* Hangcheck timer elapsed... GPU hung

2013-04-27 Thread Martin Wuertele
Hi,

I've run in the same bug on a Thinkpad x220. I think that #705028,
#705635 and #703390 cover the same issue and should be merged.

i915.i915_enable_rc6=0 does not fix the bug for me, however the bpo
kernel 3.2.0-0.bpo.1-amd64 does not have the issue.

The issue is in my experience not related to resume as it occured
reproducably several times on freshly booted sessions.

Bug#622845: Processed: reassign 622845 to procps

2011-04-17 Thread Martin Wuertele
Hi Ben!

* Ben Hutchings b...@decadent.org.uk [2011-04-17 20:41]:

No, procps shouldn't override defaults either.

But it could and imo should include a simple way to enable it as for
other stuff we have there.

Adding
# enable IPv6 privacy
#net.ipv6.conf.eth0.use_tempaddr=2

to the default sysctl.conf cannot hurt.

Besides there we have a general ugly IPv6 default config:

ipv6 autoconf is enabled on default installations which is mainly for
non-servers relevant, however one would want IPv6 privacy extensions
enabled in that case.

The ideal solution would be to enable IPv6 autoconf and IPv6 privace
extensions only for desktop and laptop installtions.

Yours,
Martin

Bug#600356: Acknowledgement (luks + usbkeyboard: cannot type passphrase)

2010-10-16 Thread Martin Wuertele
reassign 600356 linux-2.6
thanks

I really think this is a bug in the kernel. I forcefully put all
required modules in the initramfs to demonstrate that the bug is not in
loading the modules but in the result.

My guess is it has something todo with

usbhid 2-3:1.9: couldn't find an interrupt endpoint

but my knowledge of the kernel is quite limited.

Yours Martin

Bug#543563: iwlagn deep sleep

2010-07-12 Thread Martin Wuertele
Hi Yan!

* Yan Li elliot.li.t...@gmail.com [2010-07-11 02:05]:

Maybe this issue is similar or related to this upstream bug report:

 Bug 2043 - iwlagn (64bit) doesn't work with 4965 (8086:4230 rev 61):
 enqueue_hcmd failed: -28
 http://bugzilla.intellinuxwireless.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2043

I don't think so, my card worked with every debian kernel so far, it
just randomly goes to sleep without a chance of wakeup. This happens
sometimes after just a few minutes and sometimes after days of constant
suspend/resume.

Kind regards,
Martin

Bug#543563: Sometimes iwl4965 fails to load on resume from supend to disk

2010-03-03 Thread Martin Wuertele
Hi Moritz!

Squeeze will be based on 2.6.32. Please test the current 2.6.32 from unstable/
testing and tell us whether the problem persists. If so, we should report it
 upstream to the kernel.org developers.

Will do so starting tomorrow. I still have the issue with 2.6.30 tough.

You have the kernel included hdaps module loaded. This will not work.

So its only a matter of documentation.

Correct, works when hdaps is unloaded.

Thanks
Martin

Bug#412740: linux-image-2.6-sparc64: please include config USB_SERIAL

2007-04-07 Thread Martin Wuertele
Package: linux-image-2.6-sparc64
Followup-For: Bug #412740

Please include the usb_serial modules as I need them on at least 2
Netras and I prefere to use the Debian kernel over maintaining my own
one.

yours Martin
