A potential workaround could be this patch which is already in mainline 4.3: http://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=32a844056fd43dda647e1c3c6b9983bdfa04d17d This allows the user to limit the number of queues with a module/kernel parameter.
