Sorry, I either forgot or did not notice maximilian's question.

I just tried with the kernel in sid, 2.6.26-1-powerpc, and the bug does
not exist there.

If you really want me to try this with the lenny kernel too, I'll have
to go and install that then. I'm offline right now, though, so can't do
so. Please let me know if you want me to try that, and I will.
