Bug#473605: do better than FATAL: Kernel too old
OK, glad to hear kernels these days will never detect that they are too old and poop out, as one day years later they might end up being used in a rescue operation. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Bug#473605: do better than FATAL: Kernel too old
Package: linux-image-686 Severity: wishlist Regarding the message FATAL: Kernel too old The user at a rural mountaintop might only have such a one single rescue disk. Please instead allow minimal operability. Or at least allow him to hit CTRL ALT DEL to reboot then, instead of having to resort to POWER OFF, POWER ON, if there is no RESET button on his laptop. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Please instead allow minimal operability. If you view this as a kernel bug, then the only way we could fix it is to update the kernel. Luckily we updated to 2.6 long ago, so we're good. -- dann frazier -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
