Bug#642066: [bug #34331] Request to submit linux patches upstream

2011-10-14 Thread MichałMasłowski
Follow-up Comment #1, bug #34331 (project gnewsense):

The only non-branding and non-packaging patch in the gNewSense kernel for
YeeLoong is made from http://dev.lemote.com/code/linux-loongson-community/.

Just send the patches (or identify the upstream commits). I'm not going
to go chasing around wikis and external bug trackers.

Ben.

Follow-up Comment #2, bug #34331 (project gnewsense):

Since the project page you sent a link to mentions that one of its goals is to
upstream the stable patches, I guess both this bug and the Debian bug can be
closed. I just wonder why the upstream process is taking so long...

Thank you.

Just send the patches (or identify the upstream commits). I'm not
going to go chasing around wikis and external bug trackers.

I was under the impression all yeeloong specific patches were targeted
to be merged in .38 and .39, so Debian should already have them in
testing.
As such I'm going to close the gNS bug.
thanks,
kk

Details:

Hi!

The Longsoon running Lemote Yeelong requires your patched kernel to function
properly. However the kernel does not install on Debian Wheezy.

After contacting the Debian maintainers, it was suggested that I ask you to
submit your patches upstream. It would be a great help to Debian users if you
could do this.

The Debian bug I opened is #642066.
