What's the status when used with current Stable (kernel 6.1.x + firmware
20230210-5)?
Or if possible with kernel + firmware from Testing/Unstable?

I haven't used suspend for about a year now due to #911411 and remote work.
No issues with hibernation though.

How about firmware 20210208-4, which should have an upgrade and
latest linux in Debian Bullseye?

thanks for your reports.

Package: firmware-atheros
Version: 20190114-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer, ath10k_pci crashes on wakeup from suspend.
Hardware: Qualcomm Atheros QCA6174 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 32)
Usually device recovers automatically, but sometimes manual action is needed.

Attached kernel logs of recoverable and unrecoverable crash.

When unrecoverable crash happens, either reboot or PCI device reset is needed:

# remove faulty module:
sudo modprobe -r ath10k_pci
# lspci shows card being in the slot 03:00.0
# tried resetting first, didn't help. Probably irrelevant:
echo 1 | sudo tee /sys/bus/pci/devices/\:03\:00.0/reset
# remove device:
echo 1 | sudo tee /sys/bus/pci/devices/\:03\:00.0/remove
# rescan PCI:
echo 1 | sudo tee /sys/bus/pci/rescan
# probably irrelevant:
echo 1 | sudo tee /sys/bus/pci/drivers_autoprobe
# load module back:
sudo modprobe ath10k_pci
