Thankyou, I'm running that kernel now on the first host. I'll report
back when I know more.

*unofficial* and *temporary* builds for that version can be found
here: https://people.debian.org/~carnil/tmp/linux/4.19.142-1/

If you prefer to build the package yourself, the source package of
this temporary work is as well uploaded there.

Please let me know if that works for your.

Control: reassign -1 src:linux-signed-amd64

Hi David, Adam, Vladimir,

you have reported a suspend/hiberate bug, against the "general"
package, indicating various kernel versions are affected and that
the problem might be getting worse.

I'm reassigning this bug to the linux source package, but please
try to gather additional help from other venues listed at
   https://www.debian.org/support - especially IRC,
the mailing lists or http://forums.debian.net/ , as the bug tracker
often is not very suitable for this.

Thank you for your understanding,
Chris

Bug#969264: firmware-iwlwifi: failed to load iwl-debug-yoyo.bin (-2)

2020-08-30 Thread rv
Package: firmware-iwlwifi
Version: 20200721-1
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: riveravaldezm...@gmail.com

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

AFAIK, 'sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade' and reboot.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?

Nothing at all, I've just encountered this warning at booting-messages.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

So far this seems to be the only relevant info:

$ sudo dmesg | grep iwl-debug-yoyo
[ 15.287545] iwlwifi :03:00.0: firmware: failed to load
iwl-debug-yoyo.bin (-2)
[ 15.287655] iwlwifi :03:00.0: Direct firmware load for
iwl-debug-yoyo.bin failed with error -2

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

Not warnings, but the really important: Wi-Fi connection has been behaving
erratically, lots of lags - for instance - in LAN-SSH connections.

$ lspci | grep "Network controller"
03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6205 [Taylor
Peak] (rev 34)

Let me know if there's some useful info I could add.

Thanks a lot. Best regards.

check kernel version 4.4 the code has been changed.

Bug#969264: firmware-iwlwifi: failed to load iwl-debug-yoyo.bin (-2)

2020-08-30 Thread Salvatore Bonaccorso
Hi,

Small note on the warning you are seeing: the warning itself is
harmless, cf. #966218.

But I'm not merging the two bugs, because you mentioned you are seeing
issues with the Wi-Fi connection.

Regards,
Salvatore

Yes, the issue would not be exclusively with docker.

The issue should be pending fixed, but if you can I would appreciate
if you can test (warning: temporary and unofficial build!) packages
rebased to 4.19.142 upstream:
