I'm afraid this looks like a never-ending bug. There is now #867123. :)

Hi,

Given that the corresponding bug (#717608) was fixed in groff 1.22.2-4
and even (!) jessie ships with 1.22.2-8 (stretch has 1.22.3-9), I
believe this bug can now be closed.

It seems the old problem got fixed at some point, but new versions got
released and groff didn't get updated yet. I've submitted a patch, so
now we'll need a newer version on the lintian host again. :)

I've applied your patch; sorry for the delay. Do you need a backport to
somewhere in order to get this onto lintian.d.o?

Thanks for fixing this issue.

Yes, I believe we will need it backported to stable or stable-backports
and then have DSA install said backport.

Hi!

It seems the groff package being used on lintian.debian.org is
