For wheezy-lts, it would mean until stretch's release date + 1 year, and not wheezy's release date + 5 years: 4th May 2018. Isn't it? Cheers, Santiago

If I may weigh in: When support has ended, people will always come and ask for special favors in the following days/weeks. Being nice to these people is fine by me, but there is no need to change the end-of-support date for that. Keeping the end-of-support date at February 6 (yep!) makes it clear that any effort made after last Saturday is purely a matter of extraordinary courtesy. That way, you are free to say at any later time "sorry, we no longer have spare capacity to handle Squeeze security updates". Hi, > Additionally, I think it's fine to handle any updates to Squeeze on a > consultancy basis, but then not via the official mirrors. i agree, otherwise people wouldn't upgrade to wheezy at all because "they will keep fixing the big things in squeeze" - i observe similar behavior with typo3-upstream users... One idea I was thinking of was to collaborate with the secteam to merge all the work we have done on squeeze that still has to be forward-ported into wheezy. If squeeze is not supported anymore and wheezy is supported by the secteam, the least we could do is to make sure wheezy is up to date to squeeze, since we're going to have to do that work eventually anyways. squeeze update of xymon?
Hello dear maintainer(s), The Debian LTS team would like to fix the security issues which are currently open in the Squeeze version of xymon: https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/source-package/xymon Would you like to take care of this yourself? If yes, please follow the workflow we have defined here: http://wiki.debian.org/LTS/Development If that workflow is a burden to you, feel free to just prepare an updated source package and send it to debian-lts@lists.debian.org (via a debdiff, or with an URL pointing to the source package, or even with a pointer to your packaging repository), and the members of the LTS team will take care of the rest. Indicate clearly whether you have tested the updated package or not. If you don't want to take care of this update, it's not a problem, we will do our best with your package. Just let us know whether you would like to review and/or test the updated package before it gets released. Thank you very much. Santiago R.R., on behalf of the Debian LTS team. PS: A member of the LTS team might start working on this update at any point in time. You can verify whether someone is registered on this update in this file: https://anonscm.debian.org/viewvc/secure-testing/data/dla-needed.txt?view=markup signature.asc Description: Digital signature
