Hi Andreas, I can take a look. What's the problem? Still working through getting EMBOSS moved to github with all the past releases. Nearly there. I am very much for retaining emboss, thus I may give it a look. The code using com.sun.net.ssl seems to be used to establish HTTPS connection for Java Network Launch Protocol.
