 Could someone please explain the above Excuse for me? (I understand the

 My package has successfully built on the other architectures, but the
 process does not seem to have run on mips. There are no click-through
 logs to look at in order to see if there was a specific problem here, or
 whether the build just has not kicked off for some reason.

Sometimes a build gets lost or something similar. I’ve scheduled a

RFS: wbar (3rd try)

2009-04-06 Thread Krzysztof Burghardt
Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package wbar.

* Package name: wbar
 Version : 1.3.3+dfsg1-1
 Upstream Author : Rodolfo Granata warlock...@gmail.com
* URL : http://code.google.com/p/wbar/
* License : GPL
 Section : x11

It builds these binary packages:
wbar - a light and fast launch bar

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: 519993

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/w/wbar
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable
main contrib non-free
- dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/w/wbar/wbar_1.3.3+dfsg1-1.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Kind regards,

Is there any reason for nc6 anymore? The default netcat has been renamed

RFS: siege (updated package, diffs majorly slimmed down) - attempt 2

2009-04-06 Thread Tristan Greaves

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for the new version 2.68b7-1
of my package siege.

It builds these binary packages:
siege - HTTP regression testing and benchmarking utility

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/s/siege
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main
contrib non-free
- dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/s/siege/siege_2.68b7-1.dsc

This version incorporates the latest upstream, where I have pushed the
previous batch of patches to. The result is that we are now fully lintian
clean (including under pedantic mode) and we no longer need to use quilt at
all to fix any problems!

changelog:

siege (2.68b7-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * New upstream release.
  * debian/control
- Builds-Depends: automake removed (no need to invoke on build now).
  quilt removed (no patches remain).
  * debian/patches
- Removed autotools_upgrade.patch (Upstream has upgraded automake).
- Removed etc_siegerc.patch (Upstream has included).
- Removed fix_cl_arguments.patch (Upstream fixed bug differently).
- Removed fix_http_headers.patch (Upstream has included).
- Removed fix_man_pages.patch (Upstream has included).
  * Fixed lintian warning: ancient-libtool-usage.

fsprotect

2009-04-06 Thread Stefanos Harhalakis
Dear mentors,

About 2 weeks ago I sent an RFS for a debian-native package/program called
fsprotect (available in mentors). I just show that KDE 4.2 is entering
unstable.

Can someone please consider sponsoring fsprotect? I re-send this mail as an
urgent request. Using fsprotect all of us (well.. you.. I use it already :-)
will be able to test the KDE 3.5 - KDE 4.2 transition without risking
anything at all. You'll only have to add fsprotect= as a kernel
parameter and change a simple configuration file and you'll then be able to
try the 3-4 transition as many times as you want. After each reboot the
system will be restored to its original state and thus we'll all be able to
debug KDE 4.2 upgrade before actually doing it. (assuming that fsprotect will
work as expected)

I suggest that you consider this as a tool (best option?) for experimenting in
this big transition and push it to unstable.

Thanks in advance,
Harhalakis Stefanos

p.s. I'm cross-posting this to pkg-kde-talk, since you may want to try this
even using the package from mentors (which is in a good shape).

p.s.2. I'm only subscribed to debian-mentors so please CC me as needed.

Hi!

Tristan Greaves schrieb:

I took a quick look at your package. Some comments bellow:

- You build-depend on cdbs, but you don't use it?
- Your debian/rules has a lot of commented dh_foo calls which should be
removed
- Why do you build-depend on ed? And why on autotools-dev?
- You package a beta version; a specific reason for that?
- Especially since your watch file only scans the real versions?

Rest seems fine to me.

Best regards,
  Alexander

Personally I would unpack the upstream source somwhere convenient and
grep it for 'GCONF_CONFIG_SOURCE' to see if that error is in there. If
it is, blame upstream.

(of course, my experience is limited and a DD may have a different
