RFS: ninja (updated package)

2010-02-12 Thread William Vera
Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for the new version 0.1.3-2
of my package ninja.

It builds these binary packages:
ninja - Privilege escalation detection system for GNU/Linux

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: 563328, 563329, 563989, 567443, 568780

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/n/ninja
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable
main contrib non-free
- dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/n/ninja/ninja_0.1.3-2.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Kind regards
 William Vera

Yes, I took the archive which is on sourceforge. The only difference
between the two archives is that the project url is not the same.

They must be byte-to-byte identical or the package will be rejected by

I've uploaded another version on mentors with the tarball which is

RFS: webfs (updated package)

2010-02-12 Thread Mats Erik Andersson
Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for the new version 1.21+ds1-1

It builds these binary packages:
webfs - lightweight http server for static content

The package appears to be lintian clean. It now abandons the

will require more work of the sponsor than what usually is
the case.

The upload would fix these bugs: 356026, 438261, 537154, 546807

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:

RFS: glpeces (tangram game)

2010-02-12 Thread Innocent De Marchi
Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package glpeces.

* Package name: glpeces
  Version : 4.0-1
  Upstream Author : Innocent De Marchi tangram.pe...@gmail.com

* URL : http://www.mallorcaweb.net/tangrampeces/
http://sourceforge.net/projects/pecesjocdetangr/
* License : GLP
  Section : games

It builds these binary packages:
glpeces- Peces (Tangram game)

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: 502229

I am the autor of the program. Peces is an open source game based on
the Chinese game called Tangram.
The main objective of the game is to create different figures by
putting together pieces like squares, triangles, rectangles, and
others. This simple yet challenging game has at least 33 gaming modes,
4 different difficulty levels
and more 4600 shapes to solve.
I think it is very suitable for children and young people but also for
those who like puzzles. Also for schools.
I think the program is the largest collection of tangram and figures
currently available.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net (from 2009-12-03):

- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/g/glpeces
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable

RFS: rinputd

2010-02-12 Thread Chase Douglas

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package rinputd.

* Package name: rinputd
 Version : 1.0.2-1
 Upstream Author : Chase Douglas chase.doug...@ubuntu.com
* URL : http://launchpad.net/rinput
* License : GPLv2 + OpenSSL Exemption
 Section : net

Description: A server daemon for receiving user input events
rinputd is a server daemon which listens for remote input clients. Clients
connect over a secure SSL socket and authenticate with the server through the
Cyrus SASL password database /etc/sasldb2. The client may then initialize an
input device through the uinput user input event interface. After
initialization, the client may send input events such as key presses or mouse
movements.

Note that currently there is an rinput client for the iPhone: Remotux. With
Remotux and rinputd, the user has complete control over his or her computer no
matter where they are. Control even works in a virtual terminal.

It builds these binary packages:
rinput-dev - Remote input protocol development
rinputd- A server daemon for receiving user input events
rinputd-dbg - A server daemon for receiving user input events (debug symbols)

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: 569042

My motivation for maintaining this package is: I am the upstream author. I
would like to see my software available to as many people as possible.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/r/rinputd
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main
contrib non-free
- dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/r/rinputd/rinputd_1.0.2-1.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Kind regards
Chase Douglas

P.S.: I sent a request earlier this week, but I didn't think to put in these
details. Thanks for considering this package.

Great. While I was browsing throu it, I notice the following issues (I
don't thing I know the details well enough to edit the page so maybe
someone that does feels the like doing it):
1) the wiki discusses the DD process, but how about the DM process/status?

2) the wiki describes the the non-native package as having a dsc,
diff.gz and an orig.tar.gz file. While this is true for source 1, the
story is extended when source 3.0 (native/quilt) came along.

3) with source 3.0 the story about upstream having a /debian directory
is a bit outdated, isn't it? Still in general true of course, but it is
less of an issue.

Changing the URL for that FAQ needs:

Matthew to be willing to edit and maintain the new URL. Some people do
not like using Debian's wiki, not sure if Matthew feels that way.

A redirect from Matthew's version to the wiki version.

Update the lists.d.o page.

Update the IRC channel topic.

Search the website for the old link and update all the links.

I just realised that what you have just done violates the license of
Matthew's document. Please read the copyright / license section of it
at the very end.
