No problem, that's understandable. For the time being we manage, more

coming. gnustep-base is almost entirely rewritten, there's a new ObjC
runtime, completely new NSSound implementation, hard work on etoile,
and almost certainly more porting.

 Please let me know :)

I'd be very happy if you find time to review and sponsor.
gnustep-netclasses, pantomime1.2, renaissance, steptalk and agenda.app
(all on mentors.d.n) are still pending upload. Perhaps they need some
small tweaks wrt new lintian tags, as few months passed since I worked
on them.

dpkg-parsechangelog makes this somewhat easier and more robust.

Yes, but I'm using this in both deb and rpm building, and of course,
dpkg-parsechangelog is not available in RPM based distros.

Then change that. :)

We have rpm in Debian. Let them have dpkg.

As much as I know, dpkg and debootstrap are both available as RPM
packages for CentOS. But that doesn't mean you can use dpkg to install
stuffs on your system. RPM and dpkg dbs are really different (now, they
use sqlite, as much as I understood).

As for yum and rpm in Debian. I'm the maintainer of yum, and I quite
know that it's use is only to setup other distros in chroots.

Anyway, do not worry, I am a Debian fan! :)

RFS: php-arc - Flexible RDF system for semantic web and PHP practitioners

2010-05-03 Thread Olivier Berger
Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package php-arc.

* Package name: php-arc
  Version : 2~20100426-1
  Upstream Author : Benjamin Nowack
* URL : http://arc.semsol.org/
* License : W3C  GPL
  Section : php

It builds these binary packages:
libarc-php - Flexible RDF system for semantic web and PHP practitioners

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: 576771

My motivation for maintaining this package is: providing a flexible RDF(a)
parser for PHP.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/php-arc
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main
contrib non-free
- dget
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/php-arc/php-arc_2~20100426-1.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Kind regards

Update of package problems on web site

2010-05-03 Thread Laurent Guignard
Hi mentors,

Is there any means to update the chapter Problems on the debian package home
page (http://packages.qa.debian.org/d/dhcp-probe.html) for dhcp-probe. The
piuparts problem is for the 1.3.0-4 package's version. The new version 1.3.0-5
fix the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.

1.3.0-5 was uploaded on 2010-04-05. piuparts stopped testing sid on
2010-02-28[1] and, per the bug report, was still disabled as of
yesterday. So it is probably still showing the failure from the last
run.

Hi Laurent,

thanks for caring about your packages!

On Montag, 3. Mai 2010, Laurent Guignard wrote:

The piuparts problem is for the 1.3.0-4 package's version. The new version
 1.3.0-5 fix the problem.

piuparts testing of sid was broken due to a problem with kdebindings package
depends (#571925). When it occurred on February 28th I couldn't imagine that
it would take two month until an upload of kdebebindings would be allowed
again (due to transitions), so I didnt notify the PTS maintainers to temp.
disable displaying piuparts results for sid. (The results displayed were all
of February 28th and thus for some time and for some/most packages still
useful.)

I have filed #571695 to prevent dak from accepting such broken packages as
kdebindings was to the archive.

Tonight the piuparts.d.o statistics for sid will be updated for the first time
again and sid is being tested by piuparts.d.o again, so your problem should
be gone soon.

cheers,
Holger

Not who but what… That broken relationship was the outcome of a binNMU,
entirely processed by a buildd server.

Hence the reason for an automated testing of this type of flaw. Thanks
