Oh, I always start changing the Standards-Version, and i don't
understand very well what do you mean with your question, you are
asking if I checked for changes in other files in debian/?

I think what Michael is asking is whether you've read through
the upgrading-checklist file (which is part of the debian-policy package)
to see if the changes in Debian Policy really do not affect your package,
or if there is a chance that some of the changes in Policy means that
your package needs to change in some way.

You can find the upgrading checklist in the /usr/share/doc/debian-policy/
directory in several formats after installing the debian-policy package.

G'luck,
Peter

Well, besides your suggestion on the default of kstarsrc-does-not-exist (since
the user is asked for all options), and the fact that I'm not parsing (yet)
the configuration file, this is a new iteration of the package.

I hope everything is all right now :) and I can search for a sponsor now :)

You use a different home directory when the user is created by the

I went to fast on the correction there. I have added a test that

Upgrading from 0.11-1 fails:

Please ignore the version 1.4.4; this is a new upstream release and too
many changes occurs in the package, we will work on it after Squeeze
freeze work.

There is a an issue with 1.4.2-2 [1] and we have discussed this with

So the only version to consider is 1.4.2-3 ot fix the grave bug, thanks

Thomas because he wanted sponsor it as soon as possible).

 Upgrading from 0.11-1 fails:

Updating tenshi user's home directory ...
usermod: user tenshi is currently logged in

Oops, my daemon must have not been running when I tested my package.
Sorry about that.

The error was due to the -R flag that was passed to dh_installinit in
the past release: it prevented the upgrade process from stopping the
daemon before the new installation started.

I have corrected this behavior by adding a preinst script that stop
the daemon. But I'm not sure this is the best way to go. Is it?

Here are the relevant parts of the new changelog:
/
| tenshi (0.11-2) unstable; urgency=low
|
| * debian/control:
|(...)
| - Set debhelper dependency back to (= 7) as dh_overrides are not used by
| debian/rules anymore.
| * debian/rules:
| - Removed the dh_installinit override, in order to stop the tenshi script
| before upgrading the package. This will be applicable during the next
| upgrade.
| * debian/preinst:
| - Added this pre-installation script in order to stop the tenshi daemon
| before starting the upgrade to the current release. This had to be
| done as the -R flag was passed to dh_installinit in previous release.
\

I have upload the new version on m.d.n [1].

Thank you Ansgar for taking the time to help me out.

Regards,
 Ignace M
