Yes, thats is true.

I am checking the patch that I sent to the upstream version and the spaces
are included, but the upstream source don't include these spaces.
Something was wrong with the patch file.

Thanks a lot!

RFS: uhub (closes ITP bug, new attempt)

2011-10-08 Thread Boris Pek
Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package uhub.

uHub is a server software for Advanced Direct Connect protocol wich uses by
client's software like linuxdcpp or eiskaltdcpp (these packages are present
in Debian repo for a long time).

This package contains small count of source files.
So it don't required a lot of time for review.

You can browse previous discussion here:
  http://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2011/10/msg00071.html
  http://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2011/10/msg00072.html

  http://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2011/10/msg00084.html
  http://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2011/10/msg00095.html

All remarks were fixed, even not obligatory ones.

You can look at package rules here:
  https://github.com/tehnick/uhub-debian

Further information about this package you can find here:
  http://mentors.debian.net/package/uhub

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:
  dget -x http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/u/uhub/uhub_0.3.2-1.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Best regards,
Boris

I did took your advice, but same error happens again!
I did wait till xnoise files were deleted from debian ftp master, but when

It gives error to the maintainer, because his signature was associated with
the previous changes file, which I've made the known mistake, even known
dput say upload was successful.
The maintainer send me this:

Removing /xnoise_0.1.29_source.changes, but keeping its associated files for

Greetings,

Your Debian queue daemon (running on host franck.debian.org)

This makes me think the problem is not really related to the maintainer

which described before in my story.
As you can see, it tells me it can't find the public key.
But in my account, it says:
Current GPG key:

And this match!
Which makes me wonder why it can't find it, and what wrong whit this changes
file.
Note that I created it by:
debuild -sa -S

And about the story- it kinda like what you said, but it doesn't really matter
know.
Why can't it find me?
I hope the changes file could help!

2011-10-08 Thread Paul Gevers
I think you want to upload to mentors.debian.net and NOT to
ftp.upload.debian.org. I don't think ftp-master checks against public
key repositories, but only to it's database of known debian developers
and maintainers. Therefore, if you are not an established maintainer or
a DD, you can not upload to ftp-master.

This is not a problem of dput which will happily upload whatever you

What makes you think you should be allowed to upload packages to Debian?

Add that to your dput.cf, and upload using:

dput debexpo foo*changes

I uploaded changes file, so this is why I'm wondering.

Yes, but you uploaded to ftp-master, not debian mentors :)

RE: Did mistake in signaturing, and can't fix this by dcut.

2011-10-08 Thread Tal Hadad

Sorry, I was unclear again.

* I'm not a Debian developer

* I'm trying to be a maintainer

* As result, I'm a mentor, and I have an account in mentors.debian.net

You might got the impression I want to upload as developer, but actullay, I try
to

upload to mentors, as Paul assumed.

My ~/dput.cf was set, I just forgot to use debexpo in dput.
Thank you very much!
Sorry for wasting your time.

RFS: xnoise (updated version)

2011-10-08 Thread Tal Hadad

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package xnoise.

 * Package name: xnoise
   Version : 0.1.29
Upstream Author : Jörn Magens shuerhaa...@googlemail.com
 * URL : http://www.xnoise-media-player.com/
 * License : GPL+2
   Section : sound

It builds those binary packages:

xnoise - media player for Gtk+
xnoise-dev - media player for Gtk+ (development files)
xnoise-plugins - media player for Gtk+ (factory plugins collection)

The package appears to be lintian clean.
This list users comments about the package has been fixed. You can see the
previous attempts:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2011/07/msg00106.html
http://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2011/07/msg00217.html
http://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2011/08/msg00566.html

The maintainer quote:
My motivation for maintaining this package is: I am the developer of
this program and I'd like to see it in Debian. In the past I packaged
this only for Ubuntu via ppa, but that is not the way it should go.

To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:

  http://mentors.debian.net/package/xnoise

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

  dget -x http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/x/xnoise/xnoise_0.1.29.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Kind regards,

Tal Hadad
