2012-04-26 Thread Ansgar Burchardt
Hi,

[ I have no intention to sponsor thie package. ]

How does fractgen compare to other fractal generators already in Debian
such as fraqtive or xaos?

Regards,
Ansgar

RFS: gnustep-make/2.6.2-1

2012-04-26 Thread Yavor Doganov
Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package gnustep-make.
It builds those binary packages:

gnustep-common - Common files for the core GNUstep environment
gnustep-make - Basic GNUstep Makefiles
gnustep-make-doc - Documentation for GNUstep-make

This upload would fix these bugs: #646840, #653715, #667149.

http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/g/gnustep-make/gnustep-make_2.6.2-1.dsc

Changes since the last upload:

gnustep-make (2.6.2-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * New upstream release.
  * debian/patches/gcc-4.6.patch: Delete; GCC 4.6 is now the default
compiler on all architectures (Closes: #667149).
  * debian/patches/texi2html-flags.patch: Delete; fixed upstream.
  * debian/patches/tests-clean-core.patch: New; delete all possible core
files left by failed tests (Closes: #646840). Thanks Peter
Eisentraut.
  * debian/patches/series: Update.
  * debian/control.in (Build-Depends): Replace gobjc++-4.6 with gobjc++.
  * debian/control: Regenerate.
(Depends): Replace gobjc-4.6 with gobjc. Move the autotools-dev
dependency from -common to -make (Closes: #653715).
(Replaces, Breaks): New fields to cater for the files moved from
-common to -make.
(Standards-Version): Bump to 3.9.3; no changes needed.
  * debian/rules (common_scripts): Remove config.sub and config.guess.
(debian/install-arch-stamp): Install correct symlinks for
config.{sub,guess}.
  * debian/copyright: Update copyright years.

Bug#667902: RFS: downtimed/0.5-2

2012-04-26 Thread Mats Erik Andersson
onsdag den 25 april 2012 klockan 11:45 skrev Arno Töll detta:
 Hi,

 is there still anything left to come from you?

Yes, my time got consumed by other things. I need to
investigate the effects update-rc.d has when it comes
to activating runlevel switch into single mode and
back on a running system. At the moment I am not
convinced that insserv really is fully innocent in
this matter, but that needs other verifications,
not only on downtimed.

A packaging 0.5-2 will not be ripe until I add
some changes into the postinst script, and probably
in the init script itself, but I must test this
thoroughly first.

Best regards,
  Mats Erik Andersson, DM

Bug#669598: RFS: python-django-djblets/0.6.17-1 [ITP] -- Collection of useful extensions for Django

2012-04-26 Thread Jakub Wilk

* Dmitry Nezhevenko d...@dion.org.ua, 2012-04-25, 17:59:

I've addressed all issues reported by Jakub except tests one:
- upstream tarball is now repacked with all JQuery files removed.
- changed debhelper dependency to 8
- changed package priority to optional
- Use Expat license instead of MIT in debian/copyright, added feedparser
 license
- Removed --buildsystem=python_distutils

Running test suite is not currently possible. Issues reported to upstream.
Once they will be fixed, I'll try to run them.

Updated package:

dget -x
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/python-django-djblets/python-django-djblets_0.6.17+dfsg-1.dsc

AFAICS you don't need the dh_link override: dh_link would remove the
file anyway if it existed.

git-buildpackage and repacking upstream

2012-04-26 Thread Daniel Pocock

ftpmasters have asked me to repackage the simpleid upstream tarball as per
http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/developers-reference/best-pkging-practices.html#bpp-origtargz

However, I already have it in git-buildpackage, and the instructions
tell me I should have repackaged before running git-import-src the first
time
http://www.eyrie.org/~eagle/notes/debian/git.html#debian (under
Repository Layout)

Does this mean I need to start all over again with a fresh
git-buildpackage git repository for my project?

Or is there some other way around it?

Also, how should tags be named in this case? Currently I have
debian/0.8.1-9
upstream/0.8.1

but should I now use tags with dfsg in the tag name for the repackaged
upstream?

Furthermore, git-buildpackage appears to have open bugs with repackaged
upstream tarballs:
