Queue of uploaded packages on m.d.n.

2012-06-21 Thread Boris Pek
Hi,

Is any problem with scripts on m.d.n.? I uploaded my package about 9 hours ago
via http. And it was not processed yet. Sources are still in the directory for
uploads (tested using dput).

Best regards,
Boris

Bug archiving

2012-06-21 Thread Olе Streicher
Hi list,

I just re-inserted a package that was removed from Debian a year ago
(saods9), and following some recommendations, I exhumated the old bugs
and set them to fixed in the new version.

Shall I archive them now again manually? Or is this done somehow
automatically? What is this archived flag about?

Best regards

Ole

Bugs are automatically archived as soon as the last affected version
has been fixed (and the BTS is not confused[1]).
I recommend using the bug page for the package; click Toggle all
extra information and find the bug - if the bug will auto-archive it
will have a Can be archived in X days.

git, first later steps

2012-06-21 Thread bilibop project
Hi,

I intent to set up a Git repository for my project. A source package is already
available (see http://mentors.debian.net/package/bilibop). Now, at least five
successive versions have been uploaded on mentors.debian.net.

So, my question about Git is: should I start it from the initial release, or
from
the actual one ? I thought to start from the IR but I'm not sure, because it was
not done in real time. What about ?

Thanks,

In my opinion, it is nice to have the history, although maybe not
critical. As an example, I cloned Phil Kern's ca-certificates
repository that had imported older versions that he started with. Then
I imported all the intermediate versions to get it current with a good
starting point that had some history.

http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=collab-maint/ca-certificates.git;a=shortlog

It does take a little time, but the history may be valuable at some
point. Commit times of the imports don't really matter.

Bug#678414: RFS: dwarftherapist/0.6.12+hg20120621-1 [ITP]

2012-06-21 Thread Andrey Rahmatullin

Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: wishlist

  Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package dwarftherapist

 * Package name: dwarftherapist
   Version : 0.6.12+hg20120621-1
Upstream Author : Justin Ehlert ehler...@gmail.com
 * URL : http://code.google.com/p/dwarftherapist/
 * License : Expat
   Section : contrib/utils

  It builds those binary packages:

dwarftherapist - Extension application for the game Dwarf Fortress

To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:

  http://mentors.debian.net/package/dwarftherapist

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

dget -x
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/contrib/d/dwarftherapist/dwarftherapist_0.6.12+hg20120621-1.dsc

Note that the package should be kept in sync with Dwarf Fortress releases (it
can be mitigated locally by finding new .ini somewhere and placing them into
appropriate locations but it is not very user-friendly) so ideally a
sponsor should be ready to regularly sponsor newer versions.

Bug#677013: Debian time package sponsor?

2012-06-21 Thread Bob Proulx
The latest 'time' package release candidate is here:

  http://www.proulx.com/~bob/debian/pool/sid/main/time/2012-06-21/

  -rw-r--r-- 1 16649 Jun 21 13:38 time_1.7-24.debian.tar.gz
  -rw-rw-r-- 1 1038 Jun 21 13:48 time_1.7-24.dsc
  -rw-r--r-- 1 12317 Jun 21 13:39 time_1.7-24_amd64.build
  -rw-rw-r-- 1 2468 Jun 21 13:48 time_1.7-24_amd64.changes
  -rw-r--r-- 1 32786 Jun 21 13:39 time_1.7-24_amd64.deb
  -rw-rw-r-- 1 103066 Aug 9 1997 time_1.7.orig.tar.gz

I believe I have addresssed all of the concerns that were previously
raised with the previous release candidate. Notably it has been
converted to quilt and builds correctly using it. I sorted through
the patches and split them out into individual patch files tagged
using the new DEP3 tag format. The debhelper build system now builds
using 'dh $@ --with autoreconf' and so those files are updated
automatically at build time and are no longer part of the patch
diffs.

Thanks!
Bob

RFS: capi4hylafax/1:01.03.00.99.svn.300-17 (adopted; hardenend, 2. try)

2012-06-21 Thread Joachim Wiedorn
Dear mentors,

that is my second try searching for a sponsor my package.

the old maintainer allowed an NMU, see:
  http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=653539#15
and after some mails in the last two weeks he allowed me to adopt
his package because of lacking in time.

So I am looking for a sponsor for my package capi4hylafax.

 * Package name: capi4hylafax
   Version : 1:01.03.00.99.svn.300-17
   Upstream Author : AVM GmbH
 * URL : ftp://ftp.avm.de/tools/capi4hylafax.linux
 * License : GPL-2.0+
   Section : comm

It builds those binary packages:

  capi4hylafax - Faxing over CAPI 2.0 device

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: #647164 #653539

I have made the following tests:

 * compiling on i386 testing (successful)
 * compiling on amd64 testing (successful)
 * Check ready binary packages with piuparts (0.43) (successful)
 * Tests on two productive systems with Fritzcard PCI (fcpci)
   on amd64 and i386 (successful)

For reviewing and testing all my files of the package are archived here:
  http://www.joonet.de/sources/capi4hylafax/deb/v13099svn300-17/

To access further information about this package, please visit the
following URL:
  http://mentors.debian.net/package/capi4hylafax

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:
  dget -x

http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/c/capi4hylafax/capi4hylafax_01.03.00.99.svn.300-17.dsc

I would be very glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Here is the updated changelog:

capi4hylafax (1:01.03.00.99.svn.300-17) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New maintainer (adopted).
  * Move to source formate 3.0 (quilt).
  * Generate explicit patches of old source changes.
  * Fix configure.in to work with newer automake/autoconf.
  * Optimize some fprintf params (thanks to M. Muehlhoff).
  * Fix datatype issue: use __WORDSIZE for checking 64 bit arch.
  * debian/control:
- Bump to Standards-Version 3.9.3.
- Move to build dependency debhelper (= 8).
- Move to build dependency libtiff-dev.
- Remove old versions in dependencies.
- Remove old conflicts field.
- Add recommended targets build-arch and build-indep.
- Enable hardenend build flags. Closes: #653539
- Add Vcs fields to new git repository.

  * Update postrm, preinst, prerm scripts. Remove old version checks.
  * Add udev rules file for creating /dev/faxCAPI symlink.
  * Move default logfile to /var/log/hylafax directory.
  * Add logrotate configuration for logfile. Closes: #647164
  * Rename to filename capi4hylafax.init, move LSB INIT INFO to header
and optimize dependencies in the header.
  * Fix small typo in manpage c2faxsend.1.
  * Update all automake/autoconf files (autoreconf).
  * Fix spelling errors in sources.
  * Add doc-base registration file with hints about documentation.
  * Rewrite copyright file (DEP-5 standard).
  * Add small manpage for faxsend script.

Hi Jeroen,

thanks for adopting wmctrl! I would sponsor your package, but please
fix the following small issues first:

 - use the current homepage in debian/watch
 - remove 03_makefile_prelibs.patch (it is not in debian/patches/series
and does not work because either Makefile.in need to be patched
or you need to call automake, e.g. by using dh_autoreconf).

To get the intended feature, simply add to debian/rules:

override_dh_auto_build:
dh_auto_build -- LDFLAGS+=-Wl,--as-needed

 - not yet needed, but would be nice: copyright-format-1.0

+ sgml-data:
  - description-possibly-contains-homepage
http://debian-xml-sgml.alioth.debian.org/
  - conflicts-with-version sp (= 1.1.1-2)
  - possible-documentation-but-no-doc-base-registration

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.
