RFS: rsplib/3.0.0~rc2-1
Dear mentors, I am looking for a sponsor for my package rsplib. RSPLIB is the Open Source implementation (GPLv3) of the IETF's new framework for Reliable Server Pooling (RSerPool), which is described in RFC 5351 to RFC 5356. If you a looking for a Grid compution solution which is simple, easy to setup and mostly self- configuring, you are probably looking for RSerPool! The RSerPool framework provides lightweight protocols and functionalities for the management of server pools and sessions between users and pools. In particular, RSerPool can be used for highly available applications and for load distribution and load balancing in server pools. Its API is simple to use and understand, making the development of own distributed applications very easy. Details on RSerPool and the RSPLIB implementation can be found on the project's website: http://tdrwww.iem.uni-due.de/dreibholz/rserpool/ . * Package name: rsplib Version : 3.0.0~rc2-1 Upstream Author : Thomas Dreibholz dre...@iem.uni-due.de * URL : http://tdrwww.iem.uni-due.de/dreibholz/rserpool/ * License : GPL, version 3 Section : net It builds these binary packages: libcpprspserver-dev - headers of the C++ RSerPool client/server API library libcpprspserver2 - C++ RSerPool client/server API library librsplib-dev - headers of the RSerPool client/server API library rsplib librsplib2 - RSerPool client/server API library for session management rsplib-dbg - Debug symbols of the RSerPool programs rsplib-docs - documentation of the RSerPool implementation rsplib rsplib-fgp-cfgfiles - RSerPool Fractal Generator Service example input files rsplib-legacy-wrappers - RSerPool legacy names rsplib-registrar - RSerPool Registrar service rsplib-services - RSerPool example services rsplib-tools - RSerPool test tools The package appears to be lintian clean. The upload would fix these bugs: 516750 To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL: http://mentors.debian.net/package/rsplib Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command: dget -x http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/r/rsplib/rsplib_3.0.0~rc2-1.dsc I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me. Bug#690245: RFS: zgv/5.9-6 [QA] -- SVGAlib graphics viewer
Package: sponsorship-requests Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: debian...@lists.debian.org Hi, I am looking for a sponsor for the package zgv. It builds one binary package: zgv - SVGAlib graphics viewer Direct link for download: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/z/zgv/zgv_5.9-6.dsc Other links: http://mentors.debian.net/package/zgv http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=collab-maint/zgv.git Changes in the package: zgv (5.9-6) unstable; urgency=low * QA upload. * Update debian/control: - add Vcs-* fields (Git repo in collab-maint is available now) - changed build dependency from libtiff4-dev to libtiff-dev (preparation for switching to libtiff5 in Debian Jessie) * Update debian/rules: - delete unnecessary override_dh_strip section - fix get-orig-source section in according with Debian Policy §4.9 To prevent possible questions: Yes, this updated package is not for Wheezy, it is for Jessie. But current version (5.9-5) from unstable will not migrate to Wheezy in any case, so it can be replaced by new one. I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me. Bug#689715: Review of eyefiserver-2.3~rc1-1
Salut On Wednesday 10 October 2012 19:59:11 Vincent Fourmond wrote: * I don't see the point of including session dumps - especially 4MB of them ! Absolutely. Done. I did not change the orig tarball however. Right? Hmmm... I'm unsure about that, since the copyright status of the dumps is somehow unclear (and their license too). I'm afraid the FTPmasters would not appreciate that much. I leave it up to you to dedice however... (...) Great. I'm waiting for your answer on my first comment, and I'll upload then. I would prefer not to have a fetch-orig target that would mangle the orig tarball. So the best option, IMHO, would be to solve that upstream. I can do that. The big dump file has been helpful understanding the protocol, so I'm a bit reluctant to just drop it. I can see two options: - Delete the http_dump file entirely. - Delete the part of the file that contains the uploadImage() command, so it goes down to a decent size, less than 10kB. I think option 2 is better, but you also mentioned its license is unclear: Is that because it contains a dump of a windows eyefi session? Would that be better to have a similar dump of the free version of the server? I mean a truncated dump. Your are not talking about the embedded image in tarball in the uploadimage() in the dump file, are you? If I go for a truncated dump, I plan to put back the dumps in the documentation, that would be ok, wouln't it? Thank you very much for your time! signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

We can keep if we had the previous history in Git but in my case the suckless-tools is a fresh repository from 39-1 and previous maintainer had his own repository in his own domain. So its kinda messy situation that I can't hold this package history in existing suckless-tools.git. Or better I host it some where else than collab like github or gitorious with same name as suckless-tools.git what do you think? New repository for the squeeze branch feels wrong to me, but I'm not really qualified to give you any advice. xlife
Dear mentors, please help. I'm trying to reburn xlife package - http://packages.qa.debian.org/x/xlife.html. I've made new version of xlife, got approval from its last developer - http://www.catb.org/esr/software.html, update LifeWiki page - http://www.conwaylife.com/wiki/Xlife, registered XLife projects at http://freecode.com/projects/xlife. What do I have to do next? Should I update old Debian package or create new? The codes of new version of xlife and old (5.0) became very different. So diff-patch will contain almost all new version lines. Please say me what tools should be used for the each next step. One thing I can think is just remove existing suckless-tools repository (I any how have my local copy) then rename suckless-tools-38 to suckless-tools and on top of this import my 39 work so 38 history and 39 both can leave together.
