Sorry, but I do not know about the "game-data-packager" and what has to do with
my installers.

Is there a wiki that I can understand better?

Thanks!

Uploaded, albeit I took the liberty to fix a bunch of typos in the changelog

Alas, apparently a cat sleeping on one's hands makes not only typing but
also thinking hard, thus I didn't do a thorough job here. Especially the
line about a privilege to misspell is funny, I guess you meant something
different. :p

It's a stable update. You've properly notified the Release Team (#869414),
but we're not supposed to upload before it being okayed.

Let's wait then; this RFS is premature.

After a new upstream release, I have updated the 4pane package,
https://packages.debian.org/source/unstable/4pane. This is a request for a

Hi Gianfranco,

I've pushed again CurveDNS on alioth and debomatic.

I added a template for debconf to get an FQDN and generate a keypair,

so now systemd is able to start the daemon with a default config.

Nevertheless, I have now this infomational "bug" from debomatic :

I: curvedns source: no-complete-debconf-translation

I'm not sure how to handle it, I have no traduction for now, is it ok for you ?

Cheers,

Stephane

Bug#863278: RFS: usbguard/0.7.0-1

2017-07-23 Thread gustavo panizzo

Hello

I did review the package, here are my comments

- i did compare usbguard-0.7.0 tag from upstream github with
 upstream/0.7.0+ds1 from your repo

- Why did you remove NOTES.md, doc/usbguard-vs-udev.md, and ROADMAP.md?, they
look useful.

- in your git repo there should be a tags with the debian releases, i only
see upstream/XXX tags. please push, and sign, tags to your repo.

- why m4/* files haven't been updated since release 0.5, upstream no
longer ship those files. Why keep shipping it? i can build
successfully against stretch, with or without them.

- why src/GUI.qt/ is deleted?

- i'm glad you deleted the 3rd party code :)

- please import upstream tags on your git repo, that makes more easy for
others to review (and hopefully send patches)

I was going to upload but the perl breakage make build the package
impossible giving us a few more days to finish above'

Best

the source from upstream source.

please push tags to you repo so i can compare between your tags and
upstream tags

the package fails to build with sbuild

it works here *if* i stop the usbguard-daemon on the system i'm building
the package. one of the tests tries to start a usbguard daemon which
fails if there is already a daemon running

please do the d/rules targe and/or the tag in the repo so i have a way
to validate the source you are providing before upload. i don't see
anything else
missing in the package :)

game-data-packager does not place any limitations on what can be
considered a game engine. In addition to the games it was originally
designed for (Free engines with non-Free data, like Doom, Quake and
ScummVM games) it already supports a few binary-only games that ship
their own executables in the game-data-packager-generated packages
(Unreal, Unreal Tournament (1999), Quake 4 and Enemy Territory: Quake
Wars). There is a data-driven launcher in the game-data-packager-runtime
package which can be used to start such games - Unreal probably makes
the best example at the moment.

(However, because g-d-p is careful to match installed files against
known-good hashes, it is less suitable for games that are updated
frequently. I don't know how often the user-facing executables for
Stendhall, Runescape and Minecraft are updated.)

I looked at these, and all seem to be unrelated to your change, i.e. the
builds are already failing. Even if the change plays a role, I think
it’s fair to upload the updated package and let the package maintainers
deal with sorting out the issue as they fix the current FTBFS.

So, I’d say we’re good to go.

Gianfranco, as you’re the owner of this bug, do you want to proceed, or
would you prefer if I did the upload?

I did not- i'm not using the git repo from upstream as a source for
orig, but i'm using the tar.gz upstream provides. In this tar.gz (which
i imported using gbp import-orig --uscan), those files are not included

Oke, i've created a signed tag for this release and pushed it

Hm, they are part of upstreams release, i'll ask if they can be removed
upstream

Hm, what do you mean? i don't see that happening...

I plan to switch to using upstreams git repo at some point, but at the
moment I feel more safe using the released .tar.gz files. Is it a big
advantage for reviewing the packaging stuff? In that case i'll try to
have a go at this before the next usbguard release...

Hello Carlos,

As this is an initial release, have you considered using
game-data-packager (if default-jre can be considered a game engine)?
It think it would avoid proliferation of simple download wrappers,
easing maintenance of e.g. menu entries and would also make the game
available to all users on the system.

the debdiff between versions 0.1-4 and 0.2-1 is 41318 lines long - what
happened?

According to debian/copyright, the upstream authors changed. Is this a
different software package?

The Homepage field in debian/control should not point to
https://www.runescape.com/ because you are not packaging anything from there.
Instead it should point to the website of the software you *are* packaging. As
far as I can see, that's the github page.

Thanks!

cheers, josch
