Bug#951202: fixed alignment

2020-05-03 Thread Leon Marz

Hi Jordan and Thomas,

thank you for your kind advise. I updated the package with all the
proposed changes.

Do you plan to try to maintain the package going forward? (Watch for
new upstream releases, work on bugs, etc?)

Yes, I want to further maintain this package.

Do you have plans to manage the package files in git, perhaps on
salsa.debian.net? I'm not sure if it is allowed to start using salsa
for a project before it makes it into debian. The salsa FAQ is vague
on this point:

https://wiki.debian.org/Salsa/FAQ#What_can_be_hosted_on_salsa

But I think it is often allowed. I know of at least 2 cases where a
repo was created for a package before it got included into Debian. I
expect some basic review of the package is probably good first, and
perhaps this email can serve for that.

If not salsa.debian.net, you could still host it in a github repo and
include the links to it in the control file. (And, that could move to
salsa later too.)

I do want to manage the package on salsa.debian.org. It would be nice,
if you could create a repository and give me upload rights to it. My
username is lmarz.

Bug#959683: RFS: mangohud/0.3.5-1 [ITP] -- Vulkan/OpenGL overlay for monitoring FPS, temperatures, CPU/GPU load and more

2020-05-03 Thread Stephan Lachnit
Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: wishlist

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "mangohud"

   Package name: mangohud
   Version : 0.3.5-1
   Upstream Author : flightlessmango
   URL : https://github.com/flightlessmango/MangoHud
   License : MIT
   Vcs : https://salsa.debian.org/stephanlachnit/mangohud
   Section : games

It builds those binary packages:

mangohud - Vulkan/OpenGL overlay for monitoring FPS, temperatures, CPU/GPU
load and more

To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:

  https://mentors.debian.net/package/mangohud

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

  dget -x
https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/contrib/m/mangohud/mangohud_0.3.5-1.dsc

Changes since the last upload:

   * Initial release. (Closes: #954844)

I would maintain this package inside the Games team, as I think it fits in
there.
Regarding the first exception in debian/source/options: currently the projects
relies on NVIDIA's NVML (I want to make that optional), and ships a header file
with a non-free license. I asked upstream to also provide a tarball without
this header file, with this I can put the package into contrib using
libnvidia-ml-dev as dependency.
Regarding the second exception: It's from a git submodule, I'm not entirely
sure with there's a diff, I don't know and tbh I don't care too much about it,
the files which have conflict aren't used at all in the build process, and I
already asked for a new tarball twice (old ones had no compression or diffs).
Anyway, I'm working on upstream to remove the git submodule, so that this
shouldn't be a problem in the future.

Cheers,
Stephan

Bug#958991: RFS

2020-05-03 Thread Stephan Lachnit
I fixed the copyright. I didn't include every author since these files will be
removed in the next release anyway (already removed from the master branch).
New version is up on mentors.

Cheers,
Stephan

The -7 is due to that the package origin is from Devuan, as written
in debian/control: Origin: Devuan

Fixed.

Fixed.

Removed build of the udeb packages, by setting
DEB_BUILD_PROFILES="noudeb" in debian/rules. udebs are probably only
needed for Devuan.

I don't know how to correctly add the Provides: entries. When built
that line expands to e.g. Provides: libudev1 (= 1:3.2.9-7+debian2).
Note the epoch, which udev does not have.

Additionally in Devuan we have transitional packages for udev,
libudev1, libudev-dev with an epoch and the eudev packages conflicts
with these Devuan versions.

Removed.

Thank you very much for your comments. Do I really need to upload an
increased +debianX version for each upload??

Maybe you are interested in being sponsor for this package? I have not
obtained any comments from Adam yet.

Thanks!
