Bug#1025871: RFS: d11amp/0.59-1 [ITP] -- Simple MP3 player (All green now)

2022-12-10 Thread Thomas Dettbarn

Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: wishlist

Dear mentors,

So, it is done.
The package is ready, and you can use it to have your
very own retro MP3 player on your desktop. It has the
big advantage that the license situation is 100% clear.

And it looks (and feels) just like the old thing: It
resembles WinAmp, and you can use your favourite themes/
skins with it.

Hopefully, it lives up to your standards, and you can
enjoy it as much as I do.

So, long story short:

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "d11amp":

 * Package name : d11amp
   Version  : 0.59-1
   Upstream contact : Thomas Dettbarn
 * URL  :https://www.dettus.net/d11amp/
 * License  : BSD-2-Clause
 * Vcs  :https://github.com/dettus/d11amp/
   Section  : sound

The source builds the following binary packages:

  d11amp - Simple MP3 player

To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:

Alternatively, you can download the package with 'dget' using this command:

  dget -xhttps://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/d/d11amp/d11amp_0.59-1.dsc

Changes for the initial release:

 d11amp (0.59-1) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * initial release.
   * Closes: #1025668

Just a side note: I am not claiming to sponsor this. In my opinion, there are
already enough mp3 players in Debian.

You are missing a "s" in ${shlibs:Depends}.

Every lintian message comes with an explanation. Please read them.
What you need to address first is initial-upload-closes-no-bugs.
You need to file an ITP on the wnpp pseudo package where you justify
why you want to intoduce this package to Debian.
There is already an abundance of mp3 players in Debian, so be very
precise about that.

That ITP is to be referenced in the changelog (Closes: #ITP).

Thank you.

Sorry, I forgot about that step. It is done now. I will take care of
the other lintian warnings

this evening.

Hello Bastian.

So, there is still something missing in my package. Thus far, I was not
able to get
rid of this linitian warning about the undeclared-elf-prerequisites. I
am sure it is important,

and even if not, it bugs me. :)

Can I ask you to point me in the right direction?
