Bug#1053478: RFS: angband/4.2.5+dfsg-1 -- roguelike game

2023-10-08 Thread Chris Carr
Thank you again for your time to review the package. I believe we have now
addressed your comments:

  * the Maintainer is set to Debian Games Team, with Alexandre and myself as
Uploaders
  * the Nintendo DS code has been removed, since it is not an official Debian
architecture and it was not sufficiently clear whether the code was DSFG-free
  * Nick McConnell, the upstream maintainer (copied) has confirmed that the
remaining files you noted are all GPL-2 compliant (main-ibm.c, snd-cocoa.m,
snd-win.h, ui-effect.c and ui-player-properties.c).

I'd be most grateful for any further sponsorship.

(I noticed that you re-did some of my commits - thank you for your time in
doing so.)

Chris

Your Vcs-Git points to https://salsa.debian.org/games-team/angband. That is in
the namespace games-team,
which belongs to the Games Team: https://wiki.debian.org/Games/Team.
The Team's Policy (https://wiki.debian.org/Games/Policy) has this: "Set the
Maintainer field to
'Debian Games Team ' and add yourself
to the Uploaders field."

In angband, you are listed as a Maintainer, not as an Uploader and the team
maintainer value does not appear.

Package python3-pytest-trio is now available in bookworm-backports. Could you
check and
try again?

Bug#1040148: RFS: fonts-sahel/3.4.0-1 [ITP] -- Sahel font family

2023-10-08 Thread Danial Behzadi
I managed to get the font build with fontforge locally, without having
latin (OpenSans) font. I pushed the code to Salsa and put the new build
on mentors:

However I made a patch for the issue and pushed the code to Salsa.

Please do not add to the changelog until the font is uploaded.

The copyright file is missing the Apache 2 license because it is a
derivative work of OpenSans.
Please add OpenSans copyright info, use "OFL-1.1 and Apache-2.0" for
the license reference, and add:

License: Apache-2.0
 On Debian systems, the complete text of the Apache License Version
2.0

 can be found in `/usr/share/common-licenses/Apache-2.0'.

Also, the font's Copyright data says: "Based on DejaVu font."
That font is based on Bitstream Vera, whose copyright and license
info must also be added.

Again:
You should investigate how to call fontforge to build the ttf files.
If you need OpenSans to build the ttf then please add it as a
secondary tarball (uscan component).
Or ask for a package containing the sfd files on the fonts-open-sans
package, which you then depend on.

"ignore" was the missing piece. Thanks!

The default version (netpbm-free-0.0~svn4637.tar.xz) looks as good as
any other static string I can think of. Only $version_found_for_netpbm-free
would be a real (but minimal) improvement, but that seems to be impossible.

You're trying to over-complicate it. :-)

Try this in your d/watch file:

version=4

# netpbm-free
opts="mode=svn, pgpmode=none" \
  https://svn.code.sf.net/p/netpbm/code/release_number \
  (\d[\d.]+)/

# netpbm-free user guide
opts="mode=svn, pgpmode=none, \
  component=userguide" \
  https://svn.code.sf.net/p/netpbm/code/userguide \
  HEAD ignore

You want to match against HEAD to download the most recent version,
and specify the 'ignore' keyword to avoid restricting the secondary
tarball version.

You'll probably want to adjust the userguide tarball name (not the
symlink) with filenamemangle.

Hugh
