(this is a partial review, as I ran out of time.) - Updating the SONAME of a library requires this procedure to be followed: https://wiki.debian.org/Teams/ReleaseTeam/Transitions Comparing the symbols file does not make it obvious why you are bumping SONAME, but I did not check with abi-complicance-checker... Can you fill me in why you bump the soname? - the breaks/replaces version seems odd, as it is a binnmu version. You likely want (<< 2.2.0.1-1~), though I am not sure why you think you'll need the Break/Replace? Can you exand? - you could use d/clean instead of overriding dh_clean - for the install files, for multiarch, a cleaner way would be to write /usr/lib/${DEB_HOST_MULTIARCH}/… instead of /usr/lib/*/… -- Cheers, tobi signature.asc Description: PGP signature

Bug#1057954: RFS: nanomsg/1.2+dfsg-1 [ITA] -- nanomsg utilities
Control: tags -1 moreinfo Hi Phil, Thanks for planing to adopt nanomsg! (I've granted you access rights to the salsa repository, you should be able to commit your changes - a recommendation here is to ask for this in the RFS, not only as a comment on mentors.d.n) The package seems to be gone from mentors, so the bot auto-closed this RFS. However, based on below changelog information, some feedback. Bug#1058914: RFS: budgie-session/0.9-1 [ITP] -- Budgie Session Manager
Package: sponsorship-requests Severity: wishlist Dear mentors, I am looking for a sponsor for my package "budgie-session": * Package name : budgie-session Version : 0.9-1 Upstream contact : Budgie Developers * URL : https://github.com/buddiesofbudgie/budgie-session * License : GPL-2+ * Vcs : https://github.com/ubuntubudgie/budgie-session/tree/debian Section : misc The source builds the following binary packages: budgie-session - Budgie Session Manager To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL: https://mentors.debian.net/package/budgie-session/ Alternatively, you can download the package with 'dget' using this command: dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/b/budgie-session/budgie-session_0.9-1.dsc More Information budgie-session is based upon the v44 version of gnome-session package in Debian. It inherits Debian's existing packaging. The existing d/copyright has been completely reworked since the existing gnome-session package is based on an old debian template (I think) and the copyright owners was not complete. The new gnome-session for GNOME 46 due in the new year (2024) includes changes that are incompatible with the current iteration of budgie-desktop. The effort to expend to make budgie-desktop compatible with it is (from an upstream POV) to be diverted with upcoming budgie-desktop changes. budgie-session is part of budgie-desktop's restructuring from its GNOME based roots to a more independent project structure. In the future budgie-session will evolve to support the new Wayland only version of budgie-desktop. Assuming this package is acceptable to Debian I (as Debian Maintainer) will upload a revised budgie-desktop package that utilises budgie-session to enable full end-user testing. This sbuilds against unstable and is lintian free. Changes for the initial release: budgie-session (0.9-1) unstable; urgency=medium . * Initial Release (Closes: #1058891) Regards, -- David Mohammed
