Localized man pages are fine in /usr/share/man/es/ but I wouldn't expect them in the default path. The vast majority of users don't speak Spanish, while using developer tools without a knowledge of English is a losing proposition. A tool for eg. filling Spanish tax forms would be reasonable to use entirely a non-English language, but md2term is supposed to be useful to everyone. If translating the program and/or making it locale-aware would be too hard in the short term, I'd at least add a big fat warning in the description.
