Ah, sorry, that was an oversight due to carelessness--I've been working on a lot of collaborative packages and have been leaning heavily on gbp dch -a. > * wrong-section-according-to-package-name lintian warning. Yes, when lintian downgraded this warning to informational in lintian/2.5.69, I talked with Emacsen team members Sean and David (Sean is also a member of the Policy Team) about how much latitude a packager has in defining his/her package's section. For a similar case, Magit has section vcs, which I agree is more precise and discoverable than section lisp. Consequently I filed a section change request for Elpy in Bug #900212 and made the change in d/control for elpy/1.21.0-1. Cheers, Nicholas signature.asc Description: PGP signature

Package: sponsorship-requests Severity: normal Dear Chris, I have CCed you because you've sponsored past releases of Elpy. To add to the changelog, I realised that it would ease long-term maintenance to make 0001-Disable-failing-tests.patch more granular—at a minimum, a patch for a test known to always fail on buildd, and a patch that tests interoperation with a package that Debian does not provide. Dear mentors, I am looking for a sponsor for my package "elpy" Package name: elpy Version : 1.22.0-1 Upstream Author : Jorgen Schaefer URL : https://github.com/jorgenschaefer/elpy License : GPL-3+ Section : devel It builds this binary package: elpa-elpy - Emacs Python Development Environment To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL: https://mentors.debian.net/package/elpy Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command: dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/e/elpy/elpy_1.22.0-1.dsc Or clone with git: git clone https://salsa.debian.org/emacsen-team/elpy.git More information about elpy can be obtained from https://github.com/jorgenschaefer/elpy Changes since the last upload: elpy (1.22.0-1) unstable; urgency=medium [ Nicholas D Steeves ] * New upstream version. * Add 0002-Disable-tests-for-black-code-formatter.patch - Debian does not yet provide a package for Black, "the uncompromising Python code formatter" (https://github.com/ambv/black). - Disable these tests until there is something to test. * Rename 0001-Disable-failing-tests.patch to -> 0001-Disable-test-shell-send-region-or-buffer.patch -- Nicholas D Steeves Tue, 03 Jul 2018 14:39:24 -0400 elpy (1.21.0-1) unstable; urgency=medium Regards, Nicholas D Steeves
