There are several issues:

* Since this is a new upload, please do not reuse your old RFS bug (
https://bugs.debian.org/961899). Please open another RFS bug with
correct version string (0.1-2) and we can discuss further there. Please
do not further reply to this bug report.

* You are actually making changes as an upstream to fix some issues. In
this case, please consider making another upstream release (for
example, 0.2). Putting your changes in debian/patches/ is not
reasonable at all. In this case you are the upstream, you have full
control of the original project and you should not bother with
patching.

* Please, delete the .pc directory (
https://github.com/kokoye2007/wifi-qr/tree/master/.pc) for good and
never let it appear in your git repo again. This directory should
*never* appear anytime anywhere and I have provided the reason to you
in previous emails.

* Finally, could you please write in full English sentences with
correct grammar in your email communication as well as the package
description (
https://github.com/kokoye2007/wifi-qr/blob/master/debian/control)
instead of using scattered words? That will definitely help with the
understanding.

Please fix the issues above and we can do further review in your new
RFS request thread.

Re: Bug#961899: RFS: wifi-qr/0.1-1 -- WiFi Share and Connect with QR

2020-06-09 Thread Ko Ko Ye`
Dear Debian Mentors

when I see and like the Android WiFi QR Code System.
I am bash with using data from /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/

Single Bash Script. with qrencode [1]
terminal mode is ok.

migrate for GUI mode
i am using Zenity [2] and Scan for zbar-cam [3]

.desktop is not work with sudo mode
so using Policy Kit polkit [4]

now
i am migrating with nmcli [5]
its no need sudo mode.

so i think remove pokit and policy file [6]
and change desktop file again [7]

any suggestions?

I am uploading again. it needs a sponsor to reupload or something else.

We still need enterprise / LDAP network connection.
API is learned from ZXing QR [8].
just support OPEN / WEP / WPA / HIDDEN mode only.

2020-06-05 Thread Boyuan Yang
Now I believe their's only one issue left: You marked the package to be
Architecture:any. However, I do not see any differences for your
package across difference hardware architecture. Could you explain the
reason of using Architecture:any?

If the built package would be exactly the same across all
architectures, maybe Architecture:all should be used.

After solving this problem, I believe your package should be ready for
upload.

Have you seen that bartm bot closed your RFS report again?

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=961899;msg=19

It is due to that you removed your package from mentors.debian.net (
https://mentors.debian.net/package/wifi-qr) and re-add it. When it gets
removed, the bot will detect it and close the bug report automatically.
You are expected to reopen the wrongly-closed bug report.

Please *DO* *NOT* unnecessarily remove and readd your package on
mentors.debian.net. You can always make a re-upload onto
mentors.debian.net with the same package name and same version name.
The mentors.debian.net site supports such behavior.
(This does not apply to Debian's official archive, though.)

1. Please do *not* submit duplicated RFS bugs. You submitted multiple RFS
requests and the duplicated ones have already been closed by the bartm bot
as you can see in [2]. If you need to make any modifications, please use the
original bug report and add more information by replying to the report email
address.

[2] https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=962169;msg=7

2. I saw your packaging repo at https://github.com/kokoye2007/wifi-qr. Please
drop the /.pc directory. This directory is created internally during
package building
and is not supposed to appear anywhere, anytime, especially in your
packaging repo.
Keeping it will cause issues when building the package.

3. Since you yourself is the upstream of this software, I don't quite
get it when
you put another patch file at
/debian/patches/remove-duplicate-function. Apparantly
it is not a Debian-specific patch. It is supposed to be applied
directly onto your
source code instead of appearing as a patch for Debian. In this case you might
should act as the upstream and release a new version of your software,
not as the
packager applying a patch.

4. The #DEBHELPER# placeholder should never appear in the debian/rules file
