 Hmm, okay.
 Done:

One last thing about the short description. It should not start with a
capital. It should not start with a. And I think that the wording is
unfortunate. I am not a native english speaker but I would suggest:
php5 module mapping IP addresses to geographic places

You might want to contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] to get better
advices (including long description if you want).

The package looks fine otherwise.

Looks just like other php5-* stuff: php5-ldap, for example.

ftp-master won't find that php-geoip has changed to 3.01. You should at
least add a link to the CVS change in debian/copyright.

Well, debian/copyright already contain the 3.01 version of the license.
Is it not enougth?

Or should I package CVS version of php-geoip? Actually, the changes
from 1.0.2 is fairly trivial: the clarification of 3.01 license in the
sources.

debian/copyright is only the summary of the copyright information
gathered in other files. You cannot include new information in this file
(even if you are upstream). I am not sure, but I think that if you add
in debian/copyright the link to the commit that tells that php-geoip is

Please, add an Homepage field to the source stanza of debian/control.
You may want to drop CFLAGS handling in debian/rules.

Hi Sergey!

Please, add an Homepagefield to the source stanza of
debian/control. This allows user to easily find upstream homepage (with
aptitude show).

The licence (2.02) is not suitable for main but for php itself. You
should convince upstream to upgrade to 3.01 or to a more common license
like GPL.

You may want to drop CFLAGS handling in debian/rules. This snippet is
now done automatically by dpkg-buildpackage.

The same remarks apply to this package.

Please don't request to move to GPL, as the packages would then need an
exception because of a licence conflict.

 Thanks
