without either me or someone in the web of trust met him in person.

Xavier Guimard: Advocate

I support Xavier Guimard 's request to become Debian
Developer, uploading.
I reviewed and sponsored these javascript packages (currently in NEW):
- - js-md5.js
- - aes-js.js
and i think that Xavier did know well debian policy and best practices and
applied them accordingly. He is also well-mannered and easy to discuss with.

I did not work a long time with him on packaging, though, but should he get
another advocacy, then i would say that Xavier Guimard can be trusted to be a
full member of Debian, and have unsupervised, unrestricted upload rights, right
now.

I reviewed and uploaded git-crypt, whose upstream author is Andrew Ayer.
He is friendly, cooperative, and understands well the technicalities of
debian packaging and open source software.
I will grant him DM upload permission for his package as soon as he is DM.

Debian
packages. I support his application to become a Debian maintainer, for the
amount of
packaging we did together showed he was serious and dedicated to

Hi,

i reviewed and uploaded several packages Leo Iannacone prepared, and
worked with him on the pkg-javascript wiki.
He knows already quite a lot about debian packaging, and it's really
easy to work with him. I also noted that he is organized and efficient.

Please accept Leo as DM.

I have been working with YunQiang Su since more than two years and

promoting and improving Debian, and is technically capable to do
that. He has deep involvement in the fields of input method

the primary mentor of the MIPS-related GSoC project of Debian which I
 have assisted throughout the process.

I would like to support this application and suggest that he would be
a great addition to our project.

 Aron Xu (via nm.debian.org)

Hi,

I'm not questioning YunQiang Su technicals skills, but i am concerned
about a dispute we had around mapnik ITA and sponsoring of it, see [0].

This is what i think happened:
YunQiang uploaded an update to mapnik on mentors.
I replied to the mapnik ITA and didn't realize he already did,
then i tried to make him commit his work to the git repository of
mapnik debian package. From there it was only misunderstanding,
and no collaboration was possible.

Since he didn't reply to the email i'm referring to, i figured
someone knowing him better than me could help resolve that situation.

Regards,

Jérémy
