Thanks for following up on this existing bug with more information.

Can you please set the “found” bug field to say for exactly which
LibreOffice Writer package version you are reporting this behaviour?

Alternatively, can you please try it with the latest LibreOffice in
Debian and report whether that exact version does or does not show the
behaviour?

The ‘reportbug’ tool will allow you to follow up on this bug report
and automatically set the field correctly for the version of the
package you have installed.
