I don't think these dependency relationships bear directly on the issue?

Anyway, we need to hear from the package maintainers about this before
considering the change.

New upstream version for numpydoc

2022-09-03 Thread Chiara Marmo
Dear list,

I have opened merge requests on salsa for numpydoc [1] in order to update
to the last available upstream version 1.4.0

If someone have sometime to check and comment... thanks!

Chiara

I started looking at this because I've wondered whether to use it for
dbus-python. Work in progress:
https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/packages/meson-python
(not really tested yet, I don't yet have an upstream project that
needs it).

Great you've already got it started!

Co-maintainers welcome; Drew, would you be interested?

For myself, I feel fully loaded with packages, would be better if I can
step back and let others pick it up. I can help keep an eye on it
though as a Team Member, can do uploads when there are critical
problems.

Hi Simon,

Scipy 1.9 is out and needs it before packaging. We are also waiting for
it to migrate some other scientific packages to meson (fabio and
pyFAI), since the numpy.distutils is deprecated in python 3.10.

Cheers

Jerome

Thanks!

you are welcome!

I did go through the source again some days ago and that resulting in a
new MR for tpm2-pytss which I raised afterwards.

https://salsa.debian.org/cmhe/tpm2-pytss/-/merge_requests/3

I see two options to getting further.
Option 1) would be that you please meld this MR into the current state,
you than also adjust the changelog subject line with
s/UNRELEASED/unstable and move the tree over to the DPT so I would just
need to rebuild the package finally.

Or option 2) could be I create a new repo within the DPT namespace on
Salsa an do the small adjustments by myself.

I can happily live with any of these options.
