Because there is no official release with these changes, I will
write upstream developer and I will tell you.

I you want to co-maintain wokkel package we could talk about it.

Re: Python Packaging Guide

2010-04-17 Thread Angel Abad
2010/4/16 Umang Varma umang...@gmail.com:
 Hi,

 A few weeks back there was a small discussion I initiated on #debian-python
 about a guide for new-comers to learn about packaging Python applications
 and modules. I decided to update, restructure and add to a guide on the
 Ubuntu Wiki:
 https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PackagingGuide/Python?action=recallrev=11

 With a lot of help from some of you on IRC, I managed to get something
 written. Now that the original guide has been re-licensed under the
 CC-By-SA, I'd like to request you to review what I've written:
 http://wiki.debian.org/UmangVarma/PythonPackaging

Great work! I dont like much cdbs, but thanks for the effort

AgR

 Eventually, of course, I'd like to put the changes back on the Ubuntu Wiki.

 Thank you,

 Umang

 PS: If you are going to look at any diffs, you may like to start from rev 2
 not 1 as rev 2 corresponds to rev 11 of the guide on the Ubuntu Team Wiki. I
 hadn't copied the correct revision of the original guide initially.

RFS: polib

2010-01-02 Thread Angel Abad
Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package polib.

* Package name: polib
  Version : 0.5.1-1
  Upstream Author : David JEAN LOUIS izimo...@gmail
* URL : http://code.google.com/p/polib/
* License : MIT
  Section : python

It builds these binary packages:
python-polib - Python library to parse and manage gettext catalogs

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: 535845

My motivation for maintaining this package is: because I use it in my projects.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/polib
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable
main contrib non-free
- dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/polib/polib_0.5.1-1.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Kind regards
 Angel Abad
